Whatever administration I had for Ali as a boxer was exponentially compounded for him as a human being. I was saddened and outraged at the racial discrimination and brutality of his time. Mohammed is not only the best boxer of all times but one of THE GREATEST men to have walked this EARTH!!!

…a little boring

I am a fan of Mahatma Gandhi. However, this very humble autobiography narrates episodes of Gandhi’s life that are related to “truth”, which accompany his social environment. Considering I did not live in that era, the biographical people and incidents narrated by him are a bit boring. I don’t believe Gandhi would have ever written an objective account of his life due to his humility, so I think a biography written by a third party will tell his wondrous life in a more exiting light.

Right on... too bad for the violence

I assume because of the deaths caused by "The Unabomber" most people will find it difficult to rate this "manifesto" in a POSITIVE way. However, I can without a doubt state that all of the people that read this work will approve some of what Kaczynski proposes; and some of the people that read INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY AND ITS FUTURE will agree with EVERYTHING that the criminal doctor proposes. I find Kaczynski to be way ahead of our time and right on track about what he has to say about what technology has done to human society over the last 200 years or more. The narrator is a bit boring to hear - and the content a bit heavy for my ignorance - but the content is very fresh and revealing. I found myself surprised at how much I personally have been brainwashed by "the system" and enjoyed imagining what it would be like if Kaczynski's vision would come true. If you have an open mind, read this manifesto... it's a work of art (the man is a genius.)

A little heavy for my ignorance... but pure bliss!!!

Due to my ignorance, I found Swami Vivekananda’s work to be a little “heavy” at times. However, when I was able to comprehend the “gold nuggets” being transmitted by the Swami, I was overwhelmed with bliss by my discovery of Love.

I hope it’s true...

I really hope Dr. Weiss’ testimony is true and not a hoax. I give him the benefit of the doubt, as his voice in the recording is ‘felt’ as one of an honest man. This book fits right in with my search and the path I am following. Thank you Dr. Weiss for sharing!

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The content is very bland and mixed with "sounds" that are supposed to jump start your spirituality (I guess.) I stopped listening about 1/3 of the book: It seemed designed and written for poor souls that are looking for any fortuitous formula to improve their financial situation. Shameful business!

What didn’t you like about Luanne Oakes’s performance?

If Luanne would have written the book but had had someone else read it, I might have given her the benefit of the doubt about her intentions on writing this book. However, to have her read and act her own quackery was shameful.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Sound Health, Sound Wealth?

I would take out all of the "sound therapy"... it was ridiculous.

Anyone but Wolf Moondance

I would delete all of the scenes in which Wolf Moondance is preaching, talking down to, showing off or auto therapying herself

Would you consider the audio edition of Magical Mind, Magical Body to be better than the print version?

I had bought another AYURVEDA book by Vasant Lad which greatly disappointed me. Fortunately I gave ayurveda another chance with Deepak Chopra and loved it. Deepak is very practical in his presentation... and even has a sense of humor expanding on the subject. I highly recommend this book.

What did you like best about this story?

What I liked most about the book was the author's ability to transmit his knowledge in an effective, captivating way.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was Deepak Chopra's sharing of real life experiences with ayurveda (very practical and down to earth.)

What did you learn from Magical Mind, Magical Body that you would use in your daily life?

Everything in the book is applicable: what to eat, what to think, what to do, etc.
