Historia
Trapped in a job he hated and up to his neck in debt, Guy Grieve’s life was going nowhere. But with a stroke of luck, his dream of escaping it all to live in remote Alaska suddenly came true. Miles from the nearest human being and armed with only the most basic equipment, Guy built a log cabin from scratch and began carving a life for himself through fishing, hunting, and diligently avoiding bears. Packed with adventure, humor, and insight, this is the gripping story of an ordinary man learning the ways of the wild.

Great story but
Revisado: 07-18-23
While listening I can stop thinking how unprepared the author was. His sole survival and success depended on the help from others. I admire his courage for following his dream, but found him basically stupid in his lack of planning

Thrilled
Revisado: 02-05-23
Great story but sometimes really absurd. A great plot but really difficult to sound even a little believable

Historia
A ringing phone awakes Dan Lennigin, college student, in the middle of the night, and the caller baffles him with a stream of panicked gibberish. It is a code, meant for someone else’s ears, and it draws Dan inexorably into a tangled international conspiracy. Minutes after the call, an operative for antiterrorist agency Lucifer is killed, and his superiors come for Dan. He is the only one who heard the warning, and now that he knows what is happening, he can’t say no. Ever since his vacationing father was murdered by hijackers, Dan has dreamed about taking revenge on the world’s terrorists. But this threat is no fantasy.

Poor reader

The narrator talks too fast and I had to slow the audio down to 90%. The story is very unrealistic but who cares.

Historia
One Hawaiian afternoon, a cruise ship filled with Japanese tourists comes under fire. Unbelievably, a civilian helicopter is strafing the ship with automatic weapons. The shock waves from the tragic attack reach all the way to Washington and Tokyo. In retaliation for the attack, a group of American tourists is ambushed in Osaka, and then Japanese-Americans become targets across the United States. Relations between the US and Japan rapidly deteriorate. The only way to restore order and prevent a greater conflict is to find out who is responsible for the initial attack - and why.

Weak story
Revisado: 01-14-22
The book spends many chapters building up to a final confrontation. Yet, the situation is defused in the final chapter when the baddies suddenly cooperate/ confess/ volunteer information. Very weak ending. Many of the situations and conversations are hard to believe.
