Will never understand how women can write “romance” books where the man bullies or threatens a woman and ignores noes and generally runs roughshod over her but she falls for him anyway. Really sends the wrong message.

Awful production

Story's great, as I would expect from Hewson. But production resembles a radio drama - complete with lots of distracting and annoying sound effects. Probably not a good one to listen to with earbuds.

Nothing finishes

Lots of plot threads started - none of them developed, much less finished (guess I should have read the Amazon reviews before buying). Way too much of the book takes place in the characters' heads. And judging by all the echoing to indicate thought mode, those must be very empty heads. The prequel novella leading into the series was promising, but the only way I'd consider finishing the series would be if the whole thing showed up in the plus catalog - and maybe not then.

I‘ve really enjoyed this series and it's Interesting characters. Hopefully it won't take too long for book 4 to make it to Audible format.

What disappointed you about The Moses Deception?

Good up til the 10th section. Now the narrator reads a little, you get 3 knocks, and it repeats the last couple words read and goes on. If it was only once or twice it wouldn't be bad, but it's happening over and over. Hopefully it will go back to normal with the next section, because the story is good so far. But I won't be willing to go through the next 2/3's of the book like this

A fascinating book with a very abrupt and unsatisfying ending. Author information and reviews on the main Amazon site indicate that this is the first book of either a pair or a series. Even though it just stops, it held my interest through both a first listen and a second - which is why it didn't end up with one star.

Leaving out the music and sound effects! Different narrator.

Any additional comments?

The loud music and sound effects almost drown out a not very good narration. The sound effects make this a bad choice for listening through earbuds.
