This book punches you in the face at the get!

At the beginning this story drags you kicking and screaming into the world of the Las Vegas human trafficking. Seriously, not for the faint of heart.
Love the grit and gore of this intense story and Baxter does not disappoint with her strength and intellect.
Wolfe does not create Holt as a simpering parent, no he is intense and keeps his wits.
If you love fast-paced, intense storyline, then read this book.

Waited an entire year for this book and it ends with a maybe next time. Great adventure, great sizzle but the end is seriously a WTF. I never write reviews but this warranted a "to the author, review of either: are you tired of the characters and gave up? or are you milking us for more dollars for a sequel."
Sadly, I was hoping that this would be a grand finale and instead I feel like I was stood up and left seriously hanging. If I could throw my iPhone across the street to illustrate my frustration, would have, but yeah, need it for work.
I will not be buying the next book due to the potential of yet another cliff hanger.
As my kids say, You SUCK.

Every hundred years, tradition dictates that all eligible females in Sweetwater assemble for the choosing ceremony. Two vampire kings have separate territories within the surrounding countryside. Both are eager to pick their future brides. What a waste of her freaking time. Tanya is among the many women at the choosing ceremony. As far as she's concerned it's an outdated, sexist event and if it wasn't mandatory she so wouldn't be here. It's not important that the two males are ridiculously rich and handsome.

The writing was pretty lame and the narrator's acute salivating made for a dark comedy. I could not tell if the writer was serious while using balls deep and rutting as prose. I actually laughed and had to put the story on pause but I got to the end and it was still very lame.
