This entire book is a work of art and heart! From start to finish and even the Afterword section was enthralling! Ms. Morris did a beautiful job shedding light on a very real issue in an engaging way. The narrators were also amazing *chefs kiss!

Very cute story. The narrators were amazing per usual and the story line moved nicely. I personally am not fond of novellas because the storyline develops so fast that you don’t get to fully know the characters. This one would do really well as a full-length novel I’m sure. Either way it was really a good story. I’d still highly recommend.

This story was so cute. I loved reading about a more mature couple falling in love. All the characters were relatable, the narrators did a good job, and the storyline flowed at a good pace. I’m going to need to listen twice!

Cute Love Story

I thought that, while the book was very cute and followed a typical love storyline, it was a bit drawn out. I personally, didn’t see the need to have her ex “mysteriously manifest” on like every outing Saavy went on. It was a bit redundant and further fueled her “revenge body” mayhem. Which also felt unhealthy at times. But maybe that was the point, Saavy had to find her own “happy” throughout the story rather than what others told her was right. I can certainly understand wanting to get in shape and do things that feed your own soul. The constant reminder of how tough her ex was on her and how that fueled much of her evolvement was tough to listen to for 10 hours. Could have easily been a 6hr book.
Contrary to some of the other comments, I didn’t find Adenrele’s narration problem-some at all. She did great and I could definitely see someone of Saavy’s age sounding like her.
This was a new to me author and even with the little quirks, I would still give another one of her books a read. Thanks Taj!

I knew going in to this story that it would end in a cliffhanger thanks to te reviews. But the story was so well written and the narrators did such a good job that I’m glad I still listened. Now, that doesn’t mean I’m not on pins and needles waiting to see if Tay Monae will have part 2 released on Audible sometime soon! Come on Sis, I need to know what happened next!
