Wonderful book!
Revisado: 10-09-22
Great insight into the thoughts of kids. The author has the best voice for her book. She knows exactly what is meant in the writing and certainly expresses it. I laughed out loud and I was also touched. And, she wraps it all up with no loose ends. I wish I could find more authors with this ability. It’s just good clean fun.

Historia
Whistling in the Dark captivated readers with the story of 10-year-old Sally O'Malley and her sister, Troo, during Milwaukee's summer of 1959. In Good Graces, it's one year later, and a heat wave has everyone in the close-knit Milwaukee neighborhood on edge - none more so than Sally O'Malley, who remains deeply traumatized by the sudden death of her daddy and her near escape from a murderer and molester the previous summer.

Amazing
Revisado: 10-09-22
This author has such away with words and vocabulary and phrases from the 60’s. I laughed and I was touched. I love that the author reads her own stories. She has a great voice and of course knows exactly how to give a passage it’s intended meaning.

Great story line. Sometimes difficult to catch up on time change but I just backed it up a little.
The narrator! I wish he read every book I listen to.

Historia
The body was positioned so that the train would neatly obliterate its head and hands. Dressed in a homeless man's clothes with empty pockets, it might easily be passed off as an unfortunate John Doe. But Joe Gunther has a knack for knowing when things don't quite add up, and the math in this case is all kinds of wrong. A toxic waste dumping scheme, a stabbing, and a whole lot of state politics quickly complicate matters further. If Occam's razor were applied to Gunther's caseload, how many incisions would it make?

Political! and far too much
Revisado: 07-01-22
This is far too political to even finish. I wish authors would just write a story and keep their political views to themselves.

So stupid
Revisado: 06-21-22
If you listen to this, start with chapter 1 and then skip to 11 or 12. Those first chapters are about the sobbing widow. One chapter is enough. I skipped those chapters. Listened to some more and the story line finally started. Then, you know exactly what’s going to happen. And the main character, the widow, is the most stupid dependent woman ever. So…..if you can take it, let us know how it ends.

Revisado: 05-28-22
The disgusting descriptions of a fat man and a young woman’s sexual encounters should turn anyone away. Enough said. The bit of story I listened to did not overcome those scenes.
