Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Well read and written.

I can personally relate to his story. After hearing the whole book, it really shows how ignorant the political left really is. They are making references to things not remotely in the book and parroting false information. The book is a really down to earth story of a persons youth into young adulthood.

Historia
Nautilus award winning Burning Woman is a breath-taking and controversial woman’s journey through history - personal and cultural - on a quest to find and free her own power. Uncompromising and all-encompassing, Pearce uncovers the archetype of the burning women of days gone by - Joan of Arc and the witch trials, through to the way women are burned today in cyber bullying, acid attacks, shaming and burnout, fearlessly examining the roots of feminine power - what it is, how it has been controlled, and why it needs to be unleashed on the world during our modern burning times.

1 good chapter
Revisado: 11-03-23
The voice actor was excellent. The book itself was a compilation of clichés, oxymorons, and redundancy. I feel that the first 6 chapters were the authors failure to be profound. Clearly the author has mommy issues, body shame and she really had the need to tell one of her birthing stories whether it applied to the reader or didn’t. Out of all the chapters of word garbage, chapter 6 was the only one that was well articulated. It was a first hand story about the actual event of a fire circle.
