Historia
There I Go Again is a celebrity memoir like no other, revealing the life of a man whose acting career has been so rich that millions of Americans know his face even while they might not recognize his name. William Daniels is an enigma - a rare chameleon who has enjoyed massive success both in Hollywood and on Broadway and been embraced by fans of successive generations. Few of his peers inspire the fervor with which buffs celebrate his most iconic roles, among them George Feeny in Boy Meets World.

Historia
In this characteristically turbocharged new book, celebrated Rolling Stone journalist Matt Taibbi provides an insider's guide to the variety of ways today's mainstream media tells us lies. In the internet age, the press have mastered the art of monetizing anger, paranoia, and distrust. Taibbi, who has spent much of his career covering elections in which this kind of manipulative activity is most egregious, provides a rich taxonomic survey of American political journalism's dirty tricks.

Very insightful Critique of Media Industry
Revisado: 10-22-22
I grew to know and trust Matt Taibbi through his coverage of the 2008 financial crisis. If ever there was someone I would trust for their take on the media, it’s him.
This book does not disappoint to accomplish its thesis that a major cause of the divide amongst Americans this century is the media’s tendency to market news as a consumer good rather than for the sake of knowledge itself. From WMDs to Russian collusion, he describes how news as entertainment has made the world worse and pitted Americans against Americans.

Historia
In Oklahoma City, veteran investigative journalists Andrew Gumbel and Roger G. Charles puncture the myth about what happened on that day - one that has persisted in the minds of the American public for nearly two decades. Working with unprecedented access to government documents, a voluminous correspondence with Terry Nichols, and more than 150 interviews with those immediately involved, Gumbel and Charles demonstrate how much was missed in the official investigation.

A Must Listen!
Revisado: 10-01-22
An in depth look at how Ruby Ridge and Waco both motivated the attacks and prevented investigators from potentially stopping it. Furthermore, while not refuting who the guilty parties were, makes a compelling argument that there were more that were not pursued over fears of hurting convictions for McVeigh and Nichols.

Listen with an open mind, I’m glad I did
Revisado: 04-21-22
Gravity doesn’t cease to exist because a flat rather also believes in it also.
I knew RFK Jr. had some non conventional ideas, but he’s still a Kennedy, with decades of experience around people in power. I wanted to know what he had to say about Dr. Fauci.
This book took me on a journey encompassing way more than the pandemic and, through numerous sources, that his own actions make him unfit for the level of trust he was given these last two years.
Please listen and do what you can to make sure this never happens again!

Numerous myths and distortions surround the Trump Administration’s handling of the crisis, and many pressing questions remain unanswered.

Important Perspective That Must Not Be Overlooked
Revisado: 03-29-22
This book must be part of the overall discussion of how the pandemic was handled. It gives firsthand accounts of the politics, rather than science, drove national policies in response to the pandemic.
Dr. Atlas demonstrates with his expert knowledge what went wrong, and what must not be repeated with facts to back it up. This must be part of the historical record so that this never happens again.

Each day we face a barrage of images and messages from society and the media telling us who, what, and how we should be. We are led to believe that if we could only look perfect and lead perfect lives, we'd no longer feel inadequate. So most of us perform, please, and perfect, all the while thinking, What if I can't keep all of these balls in the air? Why isn't everyone else working harder and living up to my expectations? What will people think if I fail or give up? When can I stop proving myself?

Historia
Ever since researchers and commentators began questioning the conclusions of the Warren Report on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the response has been: Why would the US national-security establishment - that is, the military and the CIA - kill Kennedy? As Douglas P. Horne details in this audiobook, JFK's War with the National Security Establishment: Why Kennedy Was Assassinated, the answer is because Kennedy's ideas about foreign policy collided with those of the US national-security establishment during the height of the Cold War.

Revisado: 05-08-18
The author thoroughly documents the rising tensions between JFK and both the military and intelligence establishment leading up to his assassination. One also learns the courage he must have possessed and how he most certainly averted nuclear war with the USSR.

Historia
Anticipating the arguments of modern libertarian political philosophers, Lipscomb presents a biblical view of a voluntary society. He questions the idea that governments are created for the public good and argues that peaceful civilization is not dependent on the state. Christians should not participate in politics but should attempt to persuade people to follow the laws of God rather than using force.

Interesting Perspective, but I disagree
Revisado: 01-09-18
The author does a good job of making a biblical case for no civil government. My opposition to his perspective is that he asserts Christians are to submit, and not resist, civil government. I think countless other biblical scholars have refuted this claim. Still, it is important to be knowledgeable about all points of view.

Historia
Ludwig von Mises said there can never be too much of a good theory. Salerno proves it in this sweeping and nearly comprehensive audiobook on applied Austrian monetary theory. He uses the Mises/Rothbard theory of money to reinterpret historical episodes, reevaluate the history of thought, closely examine the Federal Reserve policy, seek out cause and effect in business cycles, provide a new understanding of war and social unrest, and clarify the relationship between the state and the central bank.

Informative, but dry
Revisado: 10-12-17
This book is a thorough defense of Austrian economics, but so thorough that it is not for a beginner. Many of the chapters were written with an academic audience so some terms, such as arbitrage are used without being defined.
I would recommend the hard copy of the book, but the combination of the very monotone narration, coupled with inability to highlight and return to parts not immediately understood made it difficult to get lasting value as an audiobook.
