Historia
The company of the Ring is torn asunder. Frodo and Sam continue their journey alone down the great River Anduin - alone, that is, save for the mysterious creeping figure that follows wherever they go. This continues the classic tale begun in The Fellowship of the Ring, which reaches its awesome climax in The Return of the King.

Unleashing Ingenuity Amid Familiar Threads - "Cast Under an Alien Sun" by Olan Thorensen
Revisado: 07-28-23
In "Cast Under an Alien Sun," Josef, a well-educated chemist and Jack of all trades, embarks on a journey to a distant planet with muskets and cannons. While the plot may exhibit derivative and formulaic elements, Josef's ingenuity breathes new life into the narrative.
However, despite his inventive endeavors, the story often lacks surprises, with the plot following familiar paths and predictable patterns. Readers journey alongside Josef, anticipating the outcomes of his actions rather than being taken aback by unexpected twists and turns.
Nevertheless, what sets this book apart is its intriguing side note: it serves as a captivating and fun introduction to basic chemistry. Thorensen artfully weaves scientific concepts into Josef's adventures, making learning an enjoyable experience. As Josef introduces revolutionary technologies, readers not only ponder the potential of this alien world's progress but also acquire a newfound appreciation for the wonders of chemistry.
With an expert blend of historical inspiration and scientific imagination, "Cast Under an Alien Sun" becomes an engaging tool for learning while simultaneously igniting curiosity and excitement. This unique combination makes the series a compelling exploration for fans of innovation, adventure, and those looking to embark on an entertaining scientific journey.

Historia
When Browder’s young Russian lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, was beaten to death in a Moscow jail in 2009, Browder cast aside his business career and made it his life’s mission to pursue justice for Sergei. One of the first steps of that mission was to uncover who had killed Sergei and profited from the $230 million corruption scheme that he had exposed. As Browder and his team tracked the money that flowed out of Russia—through the Baltics and Cyprus and on to Western Europe and the Americas—they discovered that Vladimir Putin himself was one of the beneficiaries of the crime.

Historia
The man on the moon was dead. They called him Charlie. He had big eyes, abundant body hair, and fairly long nostrils. His skeletal body was found clad in a bright red spacesuit, hidden in a rocky grave. They didn’t know who he was, how he got there, or what had killed him. All they knew was that his corpse was 50 thousand years old - and that meant this man had somehow lived long before he ever could have existed.

Revisado: 12-25-20
I listened to this in a few days and was not bored a single time.
I found it annoying that the only woman protagonist was a secretary, even though it was supposed to take place in the future. Well well.... it was written by a man in the 70s. What should I be expecting? Ursula K Le Guin?

Historia
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

Historia
At last, the full story behind Megan Mullally and Nick Offerman's epic romance, including stories, portraits, and the occasional puzzle. How did they do it? They came from completely different families, endured a significant age difference, and were separated by the gulf of several social strata. Megan loved books and art history; Nick loved hammers. But much more than these seemingly unsurpassable obstacles were the values they held in common: respect, decency, the ability to mention genitalia in almost any context, and an abiding obsession with the songs of Tom Waits.
