Jonathan Miller has the beginnings of a blossoming romance with Miriam Koenig, but the call of rumspringa is too much of temptation. Despite her pleas, he leaves the Amish community and makes his way into the city. Having been given a name and an address, Jonathan makes his way to Mark's apartment. Mark used to be part of the Amish community but has chosen to leave the church. Now he looks after the young men who come for their rumspringa year.
