Historia
Two girls, two centuries apart. One never knowing the other. But when Andi finds Alexandrine’s diary, she recognizes something in her words and is moved to the point of obsession. There’s comfort and distraction for Andi in the journal’s antique pages - until, on a midnight journey through the catacombs of Paris, Alexandrine’s words transcend paper and time, and the past becomes suddenly, terrifyingly present.

If you could sum up Revolution in three words, what would they be?
interesting - insightful - visual
What other book might you compare Revolution to and why?
'Playing Beatie Bow' - it is a cross over of contrast from two very different times in history but showing that we as people are fundamentally plagued by the same problems in life. Loss, Love, Family, Friends, Devotion & Emotion.
Have you listened to any of Emily Janice Card and Emma Bering ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is my first time for both performers and I will be seeking out more. Possibly the best reading I have had the pleasure of listening to.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
This whole book is full of moving moments but what remains with me is the soundtrack and an image of Paris that will be with me forever.
Any additional comments?
Get this book. If you have ever lost anyone, suffered depression, loved music, loved history, loved 'Les Miserables', had family disputes, looked after a parent, felt like you didn't fit in or that life had no meaning, there is something in this book for you.
It is a beautifully different and refreshing book.
I would recommend it particularly for teenage girls 14yrs & up (I purchased it origanlly for my daughter) but I'm 34 and loved it & I believe my brother, my sisters, my Mum & my Grandmother would all take something from it.

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

What made the experience of listening to 14 the most enjoyable?
Beautifully written book made one step better by the flawless narration of Ray Porter.
What other book might you compare 14 to and why?
I truely haven't read anything that comes close to what this is about... a genre that I think I'll explore further.
Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
First time listening to Ray Porter and I would say he is now one of my favorite narrators. I'll be looking for more of his work. Great accents, flawless character cross overs & a great voice to listen to, you are in the story straight away.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Sometimes curiosity can take you to the brink....
Any additional comments?
This book reads like a movie script. One that I would look forward to seeing on the big screen.

Historia
Deep in an Estonian forest, two women - one young, one old - are hiding. Zara is a prostitute and a murderer, on the run from brutal captors, men who know about inflicting punishment. Aliide offers refuge, but not safety: She has her own secrets, traitorous crimes of passion and revenge committed long ago, during the country’s brutal Soviet years. Both women have suffered lives of abuse. But this time their survival depends on revealing the one thing history has taught them to keep safely hidden: the truth.

What did you like best about Purge? What did you like least?
This book is so beautifully worded. It paids such a vivid picture that it is alive in your mind as you listen.
Would you be willing to try another book from Sofi Oksanen and Lola Rogers (Translator) ? Why or why not?
I would definatly look out for this Author & Translator. I got a wonderful education on a world that would otherwise be unknown to me. It was alive with vivid scenery, action and character thoughts & conversation that I felt like I was a fly on the wall.
Have you listened to any of Sian Thomas’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first time I have listened to Sian and would love to hear more. She is a wonderful narrator, flawless accents and character play.
Was Purge worth the listening time?
Purge is a book that must be listened to carefully, take the time to really enjoy it. It isn't something that you can just 'vague out' to. It is challenging and thought provoking.

Well worth it!
Revisado: 01-18-12
What other book might you compare Cell to and why?
Cell is in the Genre of Zombie books and Post Apocaliptic. What would happen if everyone that was on a cell phone right now just went crazy?
What aspect of Campbell Scott???s performance would you have changed?
I found it a little hard to get used to the tone of his voice initially but once I had settled into that he was able to portray the characters with consistancy and humanity. I enjoyed listening.
Any additional comments?
King has entered into this subject before in his book 'The Stand' which was a personal favourite of mine so I wasn't sure how this would stand up (pardon the pun) but it is a completly new angle and was great to listen to with modern eyes in a society of relience on Cell Phones. Again King's insight into the human mind is what make his books always enjoyable to read/listen to.

What if you could go back in time and change the course of history?11.22.63, the date that Kennedy was shot - unless.... King takes his protagonist Jake Epping, a high school English teacher from Lisbon Falls, Maine, 2011, on a fascinating journey back to 1958 - from a world of mobile phones and iPods to a new world of Elvis and JFK, of Plymouth Fury cars and Lindy Hopping, of a troubled loner named Lee Harvey Oswald and a beautiful high school librarian named Sadie Dunhill who becomes the love of Jake's life.

Where does 11.22.63 rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?
This book rated amongst my Top 10 Audiobooks.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
The plot was enticing and has a great insight into what America's personality was during the late 50's-60's.
What about Craig Wasson???s performance did you like?
Craig Wasson's performance was wonderful, always consistant and easy to listen to.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I loved how the characters all meld so well together while showing the turbulance of the times and the social differences & showing clearly that the grass was definatly not greener on the other side no matter how how memories may look back and think of good times. The book as a whole was thought provoking and although it has Kings usual insight into the minds of humans this was on a different level from his other books in that I wouldn't class it as a horror....
