I was surprised that a story that had so little plot held my interest all the way to the end. Delightful dialogue
Rosalyn Landor gave all the male and female voices characters individual distinction, Characters were three dimensional. I felt their emotions along with them. Never shallow.

Clever whitty and entertaining

I loved this book. About time someone wrote about the courage and challenges of women in those times.
I was also delighted that there weren’t long drawn out sex scenes which can become boring when I suppose they are supposed to titillate. Because of that there were a lot more plot points that held my interest throughout.

I liked the story so full of wisdom and love. Couldn’t put it down.
A listen for anyone who loves historical
romances though the love making is explicit.
Helen Lloyds voice is perfect and I can always distinguish between the female and male voices. A real talent for the different English dialects too.

A worthwhile listen

I have nothing bead to say about this book. It is well read and well written.
Very entertaining. It kept me wanting to know more as it went along. Especially like how good the male characters voices were read. A challenge for most female readers. Going to search for more by this author and reader.
