Historia
The Kingdom of Askara has been torn apart by conflict for centuries, where humans exist as subservient beings to their werewolf masters. Legend says it will only be able to heal itself when an Alpha King and a pure omega are mated and crowned together, but a pure omega hasn't been born in over a thousand years. Luca is an Alpha-heir eagerly awaiting the choosing ceremony on his 25th birthday and the gifts granted by whichever omega he mates.

M/M MPREG Alpha/Omega Wolf Shifter
Revisado: 06-11-17
What did you like best about The Alpha King? What did you like least?
For the most part I enjoyed the world-building. I thought the story had a lot of action the characters would get themselves out of one scrape, just to find themselves right back into another mess. Some of those messes could have been prevented had Luca used better judgement the first time. Letting people go who've betrayed you once is probably not the best course of action.
I found the dialogue to be somewhat prose-y & syrupy for my tastes. I don't care for the overabundance of endearments at all. I also thought the plot was somewhat predictable. And I didn't care for having more than one evil/uncaring female antagonist while having the best supporting female protag be only 13.
If you’ve listened to books by Victoria Sue before, how does this one compare?
This is the first Victoria Sue I've listened to.
What about Joel Leslie’s performance did you like?
Joel does a great job with a bunch of different voices.
Was The Alpha King worth the listening time?
It was ok but not my favorite. I'd maybe return it if I'd purchased it.

The scene where Angel transforms the demon back into it's natural small dragon form.

What would have made Colorado Fire better?
The narrator made the characters sound like idiots. These are supposed to be assassins who were mostly former military and they sounded like redneck morons. I didn't like the narrator at all.
What could Sara York have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Better dialog & less porny / unrealistic sex scenes. The characters were not very believable to me at all. I had a very difficult time believing they were hardcore former military turned assassins.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Stan Jenson?
I'm fairly new to audio books so don't know many narrator names. Iggy Toma has a very pleasant voice. Patrick Lawlor does well with romantic suspense.
