Historia
Roger Reaves grew up a poor farm boy in Georgia and went from making 'moonshine' to becoming one of the most prolific smugglers of the 20th century. He covered six continents, transporting 20 ton ship loads of hash, tons of cocaine, and completed more than 100 sorties across the US border with plane loads of marijuana. His friends and associates spanned the globe - from Medellin Cartel kingpins Jorge Ochoa and Pablo Escobar, to "Mr. Nice" Howard Marks and the infamous Barry Seal who was Roger's close friend and employee.

Historia
Tom Segura is known for his twisted takes and irreverent comedic voice. But after a few years of crazy tours and churning out podcasts weekly, all while parenting two young children, he desperately needs a second to himself. It’s not that he hates his friends and family — he’s not a monster — he’s just beat, which is why his son’s (ruthless) first full sentence, “I’d like to play alone, please,” has since become his mantra.

Long time jeans, thanks Mommy
Revisado: 07-18-22
I met Tom when he was opening for Joe many years ago. Joe used to meet and greet in the back of Zanies in Nashville. Tom looked like he might vomit every time he looked at the crowd of people throwing out random questions and ill put together sentences at Joe. Tom feverishly text someone who I assume was Christina and then turned his phone down to face the bar.
I told him I loved his podcast, and he graciously said thanks and looked for a response to his text. I could tell this guy hated the obligation to talk to all these psychos that followed Joe’s podcast early. I am one of these psychos. I turned to leave him alone and added “I love your dad. “
I meant “on the podcast,” but the rest didn’t come out.
He looked confused for a slight second and then giggled “thanks man, I’ll let him know. He will love that.”
So that Dad chapter got my weak ass! 🥹 Thanks for the years of entertainment and now this excellent group of essays. And even through his hatred of all of us he is repeatedly reminding the audience he is not special, to do the work, don’t wait on other people to find your happiness. He fucking nailed this with his jeans to his tits.
