Historia
In Defenders of the West, the author of Sword and Scimitar follows up with vivid and dramatic profiles of eight extraordinary warriors—some saints, some sinners—who defended the Christian West against Islamic invasions. Discover the real Count Dracula, Spain’s El Cid, England’s Richard Lionheart, and many other historical figures whose true and original claim to fame revolved around their defiant stance against jihadist aggression.

Excellent
Revisado: 02-11-25
It is hard to hear these stories. What christian men and people faced was terrible. It takes an extraordinary amount of courage to stand up and face evil. One part that's particularly hard to hear, is how fathers sold their children into slavery for mere momentary relief from the vilest of enemies.

Awesome Narration
Revisado: 12-13-24
Dale does an excellent job reading the Bible. He has a smooth and calming voice and I really enjoy listening to him reading the Bible. Dale has a way of reading that lets scripture stand on its own. It is quite wonderful to hear.

Historia
Chick Bowdrie could have been an outlaw, but he rode a different trail. The Texas Rangers recruited Bowdrie to help pursue the most wanted men in the Southwest. And Bowdrie knew the terrain all too well: the dusty trails, bitter cattle feuds, the desperate killers, and the weather-beaten towns that could explode into chaos at the wrong word. The Rangers were called in to handle the tough cases, and Bowdrie was the toughest and smartest.

I love these stories. Rain on The Mountian Fork and Case Closed-No Prisoners, are my two favorites in this album short series. Honestly, all of these stories are excellent. I also like hearing Louis L'Amour talk also.

Historia
Chick Bowdrie could have ridden the outlaw trail, but the Texas Rangers recruited him, because they didn't want to have to fight against him. Pursuing the most wanted men in the Southwest, he knew all too well the dusty trails, the bitter cattle feuds, the desperate killers, and the quiet, weather-beaten, wind-blasted towns that could explode into action with the wrong word. Follow Bowdrie's adventures in six classic westerns by America's favorite storyteller, Louis L'Amour.

Historia
Daniel's story is one of extraordinary faith in God lived out at the pinnacle of executive power. It tells of four teenage friends, born in the tiny state of Judah about 26 centuries ago, but captured by Nebuchadnezzar, emperor of Babylon. Daniel describes how they eventually rose to the top echelons of administration. Daniel and his friends did not simply maintain their private devotion to God; they maintained a high-profile witness in a pluralistic society antagonistic to their faith.

Historia
Follow one man’s journey of learning to hear the voice of God. By putting words to the things God has shown him through some amazing experiences, John Eldredge helps listeners shed light on the miraculous truths that God is showing them right now. Our deepest need is to live in conversation with God. To hear his voice. To follow him intimately. This is the single most life-changing habit that a human being can adopt, because it brings us back to the source of life. Yet most Christians have never been taught how to have a conversation with the Creator.

I enjoyed the content very much, but I was annoyed with how the audio chapters were segmented. I think that either the audio publisher or Audible, along with the author restructure the audio book chapters.
