I was very disappointed that this story didn’t carry on with the beloved characters from the first 3 books of this 4 book series. I felt the story was “OK” but not to the level of the others. I didn’t care for the way Luke treated Caroline in the beginning either, like she was unimportant. So it seemed disingenuous when he was suddenly in love with her. The mystery seemed to be just “OK” also. But I love Dee Henderson and will continue to listen to her books!

Excellent biography. I enjoyed Prince Harry narrating the book. I loved the humor. I also enjoyed how he admitted his wrongdoing instead of just blaming others. Of course there are two sides to every story, but if even 1/4 of the things talked about are true, this poor boy was so mistreated. By the PRESS obviously, but then neglected by his family. So sad. Happy for him that he has his family now.

I loved, loved, loved this book and the entire trilogy. I feel like I KNOW these characters and have been to Talamh myself! I am now in a state of mourning that it’s over, as I often am with NR.
The narration was BRILLIANT!
There is not one single thing not to love about this book and this series!

I think it’s important to remember this book is 31 years old. It was written when our Beloved Nora Roberts wasn’t the polished, exceptional writer she is now. In a time when no didn’t always mean no. Before Me Too. BUT I still think the bones of the story are good. I like the characters.
I do agree, however, that the performer was a little obvious with the accents.

I LOVE Patricia Cornwell and the Kay Scarpetta novels, but I have to admit it was a drudgery to get through this one. The plot seemed very slow to develop. I finished it because of my investment in the characters. Otherwise, I would not have finished this book. Such a disappointment.
