Performance was great. And the story was ok but I couldn’t get my head around this being teenagers and it just felt so many levels of wrong.
I was considering abandoning this (which I rarely do) when I read the reviews and found that the author has abandoned the series anyway.

Too much angst and repetition

I finished this but only because I hate not finishing books. The story was non existent and most of the book was overly angsty with very drawn out and highly repetitive sex scenes.
This shouldn’t really have been a trilogy - not enough story for more than one book.

Good story, poor narration

I enjoyed the story as light hearted fun but the narration drove me insane. There was no distinction between the male and female voices which, when the story is written from dual povs, made it very hard to follow.

Nice story but about 8 hours too long

I enjoyed the story and the narrator was ok but it just went on and on and on. I made it to the end and was happy everything worked out but mostly relieved to have it over.

Listen if it's free but don't pay for it

I got this because I wanted to know what happened... why the author has split this into 3 books is a mystery to me. If they hadn't been included in Audible + there is no way I would have got the second and third books. Feels like blatant greed on the author's part.
I was very disappointed to find that the 2 narrators of the first book had been replaced by one for the second and third, despite the book being written from 2 POVs. It was very confusing to try to understand who was talking as the narrator didn't really distinguish them.

Overall the set of books was pretty 'meh'... ridiculous premise, highly predictable and not really very engaging characters.

If you get it for free, it whiles away some time but I wouldn't pay for it.

Why is this a separate book?

Disappointing narrator

I enjoyed the story but I struggled with the narrator. She didn’t properly distinguish between the characters, especially the male ones, and so it was hard to keep track of the speaker.
I also found some of the pronunciation hugely frustrating - she generally does a great British accent but totally ruins some of the words (like blancmange and plaited) which is horribly distracting.
Why not just use a British actor to narrate this?

I gave up on this after 2 hours

I very rarely give up on books, especially audio books but this one was just so painful. The story is appallingly bad and totally unrealistic - surely after 2 assassination attempts the so called security professional would stop seducing the woman for long enough to actually make sure they were safe?
I really tried to persevere with this but life is just too short.
