I like the story line but the narrator...

the story line is great, unique. I enjoyed listening to something different when many 'how the world ends' novels are starting to sound alike. The one thing that drove me crazy was the narrator. This is set in the USA yet she has an accent. While she does ok with switching from boy to girl they sound much older then what their supposed to be. But the biggest problem for me was that instead of feeling like I was there, a part of the story, right in the middle of it, I felt like someone was reading me a bedtime novel. Which is weird seeing as this is a tense, thrilling, action story. I love when I feel like I'm listening to a movie, to people actually talking instead I was a bystander. It really took away from the storyline for me. Other then that, overall it's a good story.

a different view point fromy favorite series

unbelievable!!! I thought that Sarah Lyons Fleming books, until the end series, were wonderful and I read them multiple times. then I discovered that this is the same world the same timeline, Maria from the other series, is here!!! how did I not know about this book?? it's a great different viewpoint on other characters in my favorite end of the world series!!! highly recommend this book and her other 4 books.

my favorite series of all time!!

it has sCary, creepy out to get you zombies!!! it has love, passion. best ever! I have read this series more then 3x over. each time I appreciate something new. I especiallyappreciate how the characters mature in the series. in each book the grow and change, but are still themselves. love it and u know u will too!!!!


also for those that didn't know her other book on audible, it starts with a m...moridcus or something like that, is another story told by different characters during the same event!! can't wait to read that series also.

Loving this series!!!!!!

I'm loving this series!! the action doesn't stop and the love story that Is woven in is beautiful. I just can't believe how it ended!! now I have to wait for the last book! it's worth ur credit.

also, for those who care, these books are very PG. no foul language, no sex scenes, nothing inappropriate except for action. great book for young ones wanting something more mature, but as an adult I loved it too!

realistic and relatable

Not 2 words u would except from a end of the world book. the main character has anxiety like I do. never have I read a story that describes how that feels, how it affects ur family and how that tiny little pill gives u a bit of hope. this book throws in so many things I have never read before. so many twists and turns!! I can't WAIT for book two. please give this book a chance, it's really great!!!!

my 17 year old daughter and I love this series! we have listened to it over and over. each character has such distinct personalities. it's funny because u think that u know what's going to happen, but always there's another twist or turn. u feel empathy for Jacinda and her sister. each book gets better and better. give it a try. it's definitely worth a credit!!

as a mother that believes books should be rated in my opinion I would rate these books a PG to PG13 not mamy curse word and even though there is a love story it isn't grafic. hope u give it a chance!

quite the page turner!!

Flynn and Jubilee were awesome! Their characters were well drawn out and I felt like I got to know both of them through out the book.
They went through so much, a lot of action, a bit of a love story. So many things in this book will make you laugh at loud or cry and sniffle. I loved how we got to reconnect with the characters from the first book also. See where they are now and how they are doing. Although this is a sequel it could also be a stand alone novel. I can not wait to read the next book to see how it all comes together.
All in all a very interesting book!! loved the suspense!

I am a mother that wishes that books had a rating. so when I can I will give my opinion on what this would be rated if it were a movie. I think this book was really clean. no foul language and no intense love scene. the fighting did get a bit gory so perhaps a PG13 rating due to that. hope this is helpful.

favorite series of all time

I loved this series from the moment book one started. Of course it's sad for it to end. Of course I never wanted to listen to the last chapter!! I was completely shocked by how everything turned out. Who survived, who was sacrificed, who made a difference. the conclusion is so fitting, leaving nothing out. I feel grateful that I got to see these characters grow and mature from young scared kids to risk taking, loving l, selfless people. Beautifully written. This may not have been where some saw the books going, but it is still a greatly written book! I can not wait till the movies to come out to see how well they do or how much they butcher the books. please, if u haven't read the series, take a chance, use a credit or pay for the books. they're worth it!!

for all the parents out there like me, who feel like books should be rated. the first two books would be what I would call PG13 due to language and intense scenes and situations. but this last book has even more intense scenes and violence as u would expect, the language is also a lot more. many f-bombs along with other curse words. wish that they would have kept it a bit cleaner. so I would rate it R

to be honest I didn't finish the book. I am a religious person, but like to choose what I read about religion very carefully. I was complete suprised by the how much of this book was based on science against religion. if that's ur thing, then go ahead aND give it a try. personally I like a little forewarning to make sure it is teaching what I believe. not my cup of tea
