There are three things you need to know about Elizabeth Finney: 1) She suffers from severe sarcastic syndrome, especially when she's unnerved, 2) No one unnerves her like Nico Manganiello, and 3) She knows how to knit.

Devra Woodward was bad
Revisado: 03-26-25
Devra Woodward sounded like she couldn't care less about this story. The Italian accent was very over the top and exaggerated. Her overall reading was monotone and unenjoyable. It made this one of my least favorite books in an overall really good series. I hope that they re-record this like they did Dr Strange Beard. They redid that one and the new narrator was amazing! That is why I included the narrator's name. If it's a new narrator, then buy away! If not, then just read this one and skip the audible as it ruins the book.

I woke up with fangs, a thirst for blood, and no memories of my past. To add to my confusion, the Grim Reaper is inexplicably hell-bent on ending me. Who would've thought that the God of the Dead would wear designer suits and ooze power and danger like a mob boss straight from the underworld?

Butthead? Is that you?
Revisado: 01-26-24
I enjoyed the story except when I realized that the male narrator sounds like Butthead with alarming frequency. I kept waiting to hear him say to Vivian, "Settle down, Bevis"

Too dry
Revisado: 12-25-23
It feels rushed, like it's a summary of what the story could be. At the same time, it's lacking personality. I wanted to like it as it has been highly recommended but I couldn't get into it.

Josey Kavanagh is a self-proclaimed mess, but she's finally getting her shi...uh, act together. She's set her sights on becoming a veterinarian, but there's one teeny tiny road bump. Please re-record with new narrators
Revisado: 12-30-22
This is the final book in a 4 book series. The other 3 books share a different male and female narrators and while I can understand the male has to be changed the female could have been kept from the other 3. The male (Paul Corning) has promise but needs to learn to vary his tone as well as to learn how to do an Irish accent. He was not the best choice. Plus, his pace is slow.
The female (Jennifer O'Brian) narrator is bad. Her portion sounded like one long run on sentence. Scene changes, thinking VS speaking, accents, it was all horrible and she spoke so FAST. With the male narrator being so slow and the female speaking so rapidly, it was jarring. Also, her actual voice was rather unpleasant.
This series seemed to explore sexual issues in a very mild way. The first book was about S&M, the second one was about a single mom who got pregnant on her first time, the third was about a man who was very unskilled and this one was about a voyer. The book itself was very entertaining and I gave it 5 stars but I had a hard time listening because the narration was so very bad. Like I said, he has promise if he works on it but she needs to try another vocation.
My recommendation is read this book, does listen to it unless it is re-recorded with new narrators. You can tell if it has been changed if the names I indicated don't match what you are looking at. You're welcome.

I loved the female narrator
Revisado: 12-21-22
I enjoy reading these books as the characters are fully fleshed out, multifaceted people. Tje earlier female narrator was not good and recast. January LaVoy did an amazing job. She was so expressive and enjoyable to listen to. If you listened to Chloe Miller's version and didn't like it, I recommend giving this new version a listen. That is what I did and I am so glad that I did.
Roscoe was a little hard to follow as he had so many flash backs and that probably would have been clearer in print.
Having all of the Winstons together again was great and the story was very fun. I highly recommend this book.

All she has to do is: cut her hair, dress up as a boy, call herself Little John, join the traveling circus, guard her soul against the evil sorceress, battle dragons and avoid the lethal tip of the mysterious Lord Hood's blade.

Narration was great. Assault was bad.

Dan is the man!
Revisado: 10-02-21
PR has written to of my all time favorite make characters. Dan and Cleetus (Winston Brothers). They are wildly different but no less amazing.
Kat is neurotic with a messed up family history. Dan is just, not neurotic. He is understanding, kind, gentle and loyal while being violent and cursing like a Boston native. This opposites attracts romance works on so many levels. As another person commented, this is NOT a stand alone. This is a series finale and it will not be nearly as magical if it is read out of order or on its own. It's a great series and we'll worth the (at least) 7 book time commitment. There are few series' that I re-read let alone that make me wish that I could read the all over again for the first time. This series is one of them and this book is a beautiful conclusion to the knitting group.
That being said, now that PR has started writing about the next gen, I'm excited to see where it all goes.
