Historia
Madame Bathory was a demon. A nightmare. A story told throughout the years to ensure the obedience of children refusing their bedtimes. She was a monster who masqueraded as human, bathing in the blood of the innocent to keep her disguise until the righteous trapped her within the walls of her own castle… a sentence passed for crimes she felt no remorse for. Bathory was gone. A bad memory. It’s funny how memories can resurface. And so I did. Waking in the rubble of my castle prison, I found all had changed. All but the hunger. I was free to begin again. To feed.

So much
Revisado: 04-17-25
I would like to start by saying there are some triggers in this book but not listed I’ll try to list as many as I can at the end. It’s for sure a dark book I wouldn’t say dark romance as there is some spicy parts but it’s not the plot of the book. This was a good story I really enjoyed it. There were several twist that kept me guessing what would happen next. You can see some character growth as the story goes on. I love how Everly Woods reads the FMC the most out of this book and makes Elizabeth (FMC) sound like she really does come from her background of nobility. She also does an amazing job of making each character have their own voice and not sounding like each other so that you know who is talking.
Some of these may be spoilers
Triggers: Murder, death of child, kidnapping, arson, consumption of blood, cheating, lying

Banter
Revisado: 03-26-25
The banter was one of my favorite parts and how well the narrator’s played off one another the story was funny and sweet but also kept me on the edge of my seat I can’t wait to read/listen to the next ones!!!

Plot twist
Revisado: 12-10-24
It gives touch her and die vibes but also that she doesn’t need to be saved cause she’ll do it herself. The plot twist had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It had me flipping sides when I didn’t think I would! It was such a good story and well written the audiobook is just as amazing. Vampires, wolves, elves, dragons, and humans and with back story of how they came to be is awesome. I loved this book and how it set up for the second one without leaving you on too big of a cliff.

Historia
The one good thing Jasmine Joyce’s father did was leave her the family ranch when he died. With the slice of heaven she calls home, Jazz created a sanctuary for those recovering from addiction and mental illness. Jazz knows hard work helps heal the soul; the ranch “guests” find it by the shovel full. The anonymity clause should protect everyone, but because of it, when Jazz welcomes her newest resident, she doesn’t know she is about to open a door into the past.

What can I say
Revisado: 11-21-24
This was an awesome story and gave off hallmark vibes but in a good way! The characters are well rounded and made me both laugh and cry. Everly woods put so much emotion into each part of the story that it had me in tears at some points just hearing it and it was a little healing for me to hear some of it. She gave each character their own voice and really brought them to life. I can’t wait to hear more by her!
