The author is a sincere, only mildly judgmental, not biblically sophisticated, very rhetorically clever, rarely offensive, occasionally helpful, conservative Christian who sees, in her book at least, little value in other religious traditions, is opposed to abortion regardless of the circumstances, and believes Christians should not have consensual sex with persons who share their gender. The title suggests that she is addressing non-believers, however I think the reality is, perhaps unintended, that she is “preaching to the choir”…especially a choir whose members include progressive Christians. I would not recommend purchasing this book.

I've listened to and have enjoyed several of "The Great Courses"...none, however, have been as interesting, entertaining and useful as "Your Best Brain" by John Medina. THIS...WAS...FABULOUS!!! What a teacher! What fascinating material! If you're considering trying this course, stop your considerations immediately and dive into Dr. Medina's vast and deep pool of knowledge regarding the part of your body which defines you. You will NOT be sorry. --Gary Connors-Boe
