Sonoma Uncorked with David Hyde Pierce
Revisado: 08-16-04
I read this book for two reasons: I love wine and I'm a fan of David Hyde Pierce. If you like "Niles" (Pierce)on the sit-com Frasier then you will love his narration of Rempel's book which is an informative, yet funny, tour of the Sonoma Valley and many of its vineyards. I also highly recommend Napa Uncorked.

Historia
Married for 20 years to the Reverend Benjamin Lynch, a handsome, ambitious minister of the prestigious Methodist church, Dean Lynch has never quite adjusted her temperament to the demands of the role of a "Sunday wife." When her husband is assigned to a larger and more demanding community in the Florida panhandle, Dean becomes fast friends with Augusta Holderfield, a woman with a secret past whose good looks and extravagant habits immediately entrance Dean, much to Ben's disgust.

It's O.K. to Be a White Male

Historia
In It's O.K. to be a White Male, Jeff Wayne asks the question, "How did the majority become the minority?" As he stomps through the minefield of "political correctness", his is the voice that heretofore has been silenced by the whimpering of gays, blacks, vegetarians, non-smokers, and Donahue devotees who have declared it "open season on my white ass". On the cutting-edge of controversy, Wayne's brand of comedy is never cruel, and always very, very funny.

It's O.K. to ignore this guy!!!
Revisado: 05-12-04
Denis Leary, he's not! He had maybe two good jokes and the rest was nothing but predictable right-wing apologetics cerca 1992. Talk about dated! I thought I had fallen into a "way-back" machine.

Historia
A poetic narrative organized by regret, Another Shot provides an insightful glimpse into the life and mind of regular guy Joe Kita. It's a tumultuous and sometimes uncomfortable journey. But Kita is hilarious, insightful, and - most of all - inspiring enough to make you ponder: Why not give it another shot?

Nice shot!

A book about dealing with regrets...you can go back! The stories were wonderful, moving, and enlightening. I was rooting for him the whole way! I did find the author a little too gullible on three of his regret stories (the psychic, the cat-scan doctor and the "predator"). I would love to see a sequel.
