Book 1 & 2 same story rewrote
Revisado: 11-18-22
The book itself is okay. is it just me or do all narrators make orcs sound like Shrek? lol I did not listen to the second book after a few chapters. Although I did fast Forward and listen including to the end, just to make sure that I was correct. Correct in the assumption that it is same book just rewritten. but if they were going to rewrite it they should have rewritten it well enough so it didn't sound exactly like the first in my opinion.

Historia
James Patterson’s thrilling adventure series gets an exclusive, audio-only origin story in Daniel X: Genesis, brought to life by an all-star cast. We meet Daniel, an ordinary teen just trying to navigate his way through high school. That all changes when he discovers he has super powers and can conjure up anything, at any time, just by imagining it. Suddenly he’s meeting powerful entities who tell him he is not, in fact, a typical teenage human but an alien...and his parents died not in a car wreck but in an epic battle with an intergalactic villain.

I have tried to listen to this book several times but between all of the outrageously loud background noise, immature characters, and bad plot I have given up. I expected much more from this book being that Patterson wrote.

GREAT FOR WHOLE FAMILY INCLUDING ADULTS!!
Revisado: 02-07-22
My whole family enjoyed this series of books and that includes the adults and older teenagers. Well written, fun, & interesting series. I am now continuing listening to this series on my own. It is a easy listen/read about young boy (around 12 or 13 I think) becoming a vampire assistant, the freak show and all the interesting characters on freak show & the ones they meet along the way. Definitely Worth Trying & since this series is included in my audible Plus membership It is GREAT TIME to read!!

Thirty-four years ago, on October 31, poor Hannah Talbott took part in a scavenger hunt gone violently wrong. The mean girls made sure of it. To this day, for a haunted local mother, the most unsettling Halloween costume of all is an urban legend they call Hannah-Beast. It’s a reminder of the past she can’t forget. I think this would make a fun family listen on a road trip. There are some scary parts and the girl is bullied a lot so be aware if that could be a trigger or upsetting to your children.

Noah Turner sees monsters. His father saw them - and built a shrine to them with The Wandering Dark, an immersive horror experience that the whole family operates. His practical mother has caught glimpses of terrors but refuses to believe - too focused on keeping the family from falling apart. And his eldest sister, the dramatic and vulnerable Sydney, won't admit to seeing anything but the beckoning glow of the spotlight...until it swallows her up. Noah Turner sees monsters. But, unlike his family, Noah chooses to let them in....

great book AWFUL BACKGROUND MUSIC/NOISE
Revisado: 03-14-21
really struggled with this book and the noises in the background not just music but high pitched humming makes it very hard for someone with noise deafness to follow along. although even if I didn't have noise deafness the background noises are awful and annoying. highly recommend you read this book but do not do this version on audible

Really un-impressed with this collection.
Revisado: 11-26-20
I was really looking forward to listening to this collection of stories especially after reading all of the positive reviews. Inly really liked one or two of the stories the rest I found disappointing. a lot of them felt like the same stories I have heard multiple times before reading other collections.
