Historia
She is omnivorous. No matter age or appearance, physical frailty or imperfection. It is not their flesh that feeds her appetites, but their souls. She devours young and old, men and women. She leaves only a desiccated husk. An unspeakable evil. An impossible gift. Renowned magus Taita is now over 100 years old and has ascended to a new level of wisdom and understanding about his world. But he must prepare himself for the biggest threat Egypt has ever faced: the great plagues and the failure of the Nile, brought about by the fire witch Eos, an ancient force of sheer evil.

An ancient tale, told in this age
Revisado: 03-10-25
IMHO, it is impossible to write a story like this entirely out of imagination. Too many small details that cannot come out of thin air. This is a story that the author got from the ancient past either because he was there in another birth or because someone reached out across time. Such details, such elucidation, such twists n turns... incredible.

Historia
Even before he could move, the full realisation of what confronted him blazed in the Pharaoh's mind. This was the foul and loathsome thing that Taita, with his clairvoyant powers, had smelt in the air. The light was strong enough for him to make out every detail of the enemy he had loved as a friend. The magic of the gods. The treachery of man. In his long life, Taita has gone from slave to warlock, and now his wisdom and abilities are known throughout the kingdom. But even his immense skills cannot protect those close to him from the evil that lurks at the heart of Egypt.

Gripping & Life-like narration & plot.
Revisado: 02-02-25
The only observation I have is that the author didn't just dream this up or imagine it up. There are too many small details that can be known only through a voice that carried them across time to the author. This is the narration of actual events of ancient times.

Historia
In 1945, the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki became the first and last victims of the atom bomb, the most destructive man-made force our planet has ever known. Or were they just the latest in a long line of Armageddon-level events? Is it possible that our civilization is, in reality, just one of many? Did previous cultures blossom, develop, and thrive only to destroy themselves, tens or hundreds of thousands of years ago, with the same atomic technology?

Historia
Graham Hancock's multi-million bestseller Fingerprints of the Gods remains an astonishing, deeply controversial, wide-ranging investigation of the mysteries of our past and the evidence for Earth's lost civilization. Twenty years on, Hancock returns with the sequel to his seminal work filled with completely new scientific and archaeological evidence, which has only recently come to light.

Gripping although too technical at times
Revisado: 08-10-16
Graham Hancock has always been a great narrator and this one is no different. Through a melange of science, history and intuition, Hancock has put forth a solid case for the catastrophism camp that needs to be given serious attention by mainstream scientists, shedding the fake facade of uniformitarian for the sake of humanity. At times it gets a little too heavy for the lay man reader due to the technical info being presented and would have loved some more insight into the lost civilization but otherwise, it is a great tale.

Historia
On the surface, this is a biography of an accomplished seeker who mastered the practices of yoga and brought a system for understanding the mysteries of body, mind, and spirit to students in the West. But, like the life of Swami Rama, this audiobook offers more than a sequence of astonishing events. As you read the stories of authentic guru-disciple relationships Swami Rama had both with his master and with his own students, you will see how the spiritual wisdom is transmitted through generations. This book also serves as a guide to advanced practices of yoga and tantra not commonly understood in modern times.

Revisado: 03-24-15
Although there were scandals involving Swami Rama, this most certainly proves that the man was extra ordinary and was a yogi. Human ego is so deceitful that it can make even the loftiest, fall from grace. Who knows, may be that's what happened with this great soul as well!
