Best in the series so far

This was simply a heartwarming delightful story! I’m usually bored with book series by the 2nd book but since each book is a new set of characters (that you’ve met in the previous books) I was intrigued to buy the 3rd book. I’m so glad I did, both characters were so lovable and the Texas accent was perfectly done!

Way too long!

This story went on and on and I found myself checking to see how many more hours I would need to endure. By the time this was finally over i could have cared less about the characters and if they got a HEA.

Just absolutely delightful

This is the first book in a very long time that I didn’t want the story to end. I loved both Dallas and Jo and while they both had some baggage that was easily overcome and didn’t weigh the story down. It was definitely worth a credit!

The English narrator ruined it for me!

I’ve listened to a lot of narrators that have received bad reviews and have always managed to get past them and enjoy the story, that is NOT the case with this book!! Whoever in their right mind chose a female English narrator for a rugged cattleman/lawman ranch saga?? I am so disappointed and struggling to finish, (less than an hour remaining). I feel like I’m listening to a leprechaun (grandpa), an English lady (who’s Texas born and raised, I might add), serving High Tea and the hero and Chase’s grandson sounding like a mix between a prissy English lord and a not-so-hot Scot! I wanted to get to know Logan’s son because I loved Logan in his story but I was unable to feel anything for him! I almost cried when I saw the same narrator for the final Calder saga series that unfortunately I have already purchased!

Not for me

After wasting credits I’ve started paying close attention to the reviews since the credits are expensive. This one sounded interesting and a break from the many Mafia series that have overwhelmed my home page (and me) lately, trying to keep track of the sequences of all the crime families is frustrating. So back to this book, it was very long (13.5 hours) filled with repetitive drivel for me. The sex scenes were frequent and hot, but again repetitive and the female dialogue during sex was completely distracting for me. The plot was predictable (with a HEA) and this was the first book of another series. While the secondary characters were interesting no one stuck out to make me want to buy book 2 and continue the series.

Just WOW!!!!!

This is an amazing story full of tingles and twists! You better pay attention, all the hints are there! When I finally realized what was really going on it made me so sad, but then there’s hope. I don’t want to give away the plot, but I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this book. It’s worth a credit!

Be prepared to have your heart ripped apart with conflict

So first, the female narrator…was terrible. Her voice was clipped and abrasive and didn’t help with generating any sympathy for the heroine, Katie. This was a love triangle with lots of grief, guilt and unfortunately PTSD. I can honestly say I was in the husband’s corner for the majority of this book. What happened to Katie and Chris was horrifying and due to the life threatening events, they formed an unbreakable love and bond. When Katie returned home to her husband Gavin and their son she was suffering from severe PTSD, resulting in not only destroying her life but also the two men she loved. At times I really lost patience with her and felt she made some selfish decisions. It all comes out in the end, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for Gavin. I really don’t want to listen to another book with this much heartbreak, so I’ll carefully read the details and reviews before I use another credit for this author.

A nice HEA for Colton and Rylee

I will admit I hesitated to use a credit for this final book, the other books were long and full of angst and heartbreak and I didn’t know if I was up for >10 more hours. I’m very glad I did, it was a great ending. I did go back and re-listen to both epilogues in “Crashed” because those epilogues were 10 years later, so that was the perfect closure for me.

The hero’s love interest and mother need a swift kick!

This book did it for me and this series. I was considering going back and listening to the Harris family stories, but I’m done. This guy (the hero) was going through life altering disclosures and and decisions and the two closest women in his life were clueless, selfish and self serving. I will say it was great to see resolution, acceptance and love for all parties.

That narrator

When I first started this book I actually cringed when I first heard the narrator. The voice (and accent) for Rafe (who is Latino) was this heavily accented nasal voice. It was hard to get past the mental picture of Rafe but he was such a lovely man I started to accept (and ignore). I know the narrator was capable of more masculine depictions because the other BOI team members were great…except Johnnie, his Texas accent was insulting! I was so tempted to skip this particular book because of the voices but decided to sick with it and I’m so glad I did! It’s a beautiful story and you’ll love all the characters. One other observation…why would you chose the initials BJ for the heroine?
