Just Beachy
Revisado: 03-29-25
An easy, somewhat predictable, beachy read. Sweet story about a small beach town and good characters. Great read to sweep me away to the beach for a while.

Surprising Who-Done-It!
Revisado: 06-17-23
I enjoyed the story of Kate, childbirth, and how Kate reinvents herself in order to do what she wants to do as a new mom. I would imagine many new mom’s face the challenge of leaving their babies to return to work, just as Kate did it.

My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed this book. We were surprised several times with the twists and turns the author took. I’m looking forward to more Colleen Hoover books.

Reminded me of Peyton Place!
Revisado: 10-29-21
Scandal in a small town, jumping to conclusions, murder - it’s all here in this book. I love the way Moriarty develops her characters and how she kind of starts at the end of the story and then works backwards.
I gave the book a 4 instead of a 5 because of the filthy language the author uses. There is just no need for it.

Her Year of Yes, My Year of No!
Revisado: 07-25-21
This book is such an inspiration! Hearing Shonda read her own writing makes it so much better.
While she worked on answering YES to things, I
decided this would be my year of NO. I do too many things out of obligation, not wanting to hurt feelings, etc. We’ll, Shonda, your YES inspired me to say NO!

Thought Provoking Read
Revisado: 05-13-20
White privilege, racism, discrimination - all of this and more can be found in Small Great Things. It is truly challenging to see things from another’s perspective when we are different from that person. This book drives that home. As a reader, I could see the injustice being done to one character, I got angered by the hate coming from another one, and was a cheerleader for the character trying to help. My eyes were opened a bit at the end, just like one of the character’s eyes were.
Great read and so relevant to our time.
