The reader actually used a word pronounced
"supposably". I suppose they meant to say "supposedly" Did I spell it wrong? How do you know this? There IS no such word in the English language I learned.

What stood out was the absolutely new take on what happened after our body expires.

The AI voice was actually ok, which it often is not. I speak a few foreign languages without a foreign accent. There is a downside to this ability which is that I have certain voices and accents I find unpleasant or even annoying. This voice was neither.

I'm mystified that this author was successful and renowned. I was unmoved, and sort of bored with the whole story. The ending was rather abrupt.

I think the author wanted maximum authenticity. Maybe I'm not scholarly enough to appreciate it all. The deliberate mispronounciation of modern words was just too much to listen to. I have and ear for languages, speak three pretty well, and some of two others, and this tome drove me crazy. Was this supposed to be middle English? I know English has changed a lot, but this just seemed gratuitously strange.

There is no actual German language content in this guidebook. I'm returning it. What is even more absurd, is that the same title is available for other languages.

Genuine 19th century style

I should have known it would be written in this strange, very flowery style of writing which was so common during this era. It really just gets in the way of the story. It is what it is, an interesting and also possibly informative look at possible outcomes to events we are witnessing right now in the present. Someone could update this in a more modern style, in the hope of reaching a wider audience.

Where do I begin? Absurd foreign accents? Annoying and silly approximations of how 19th century explorers and scholars might have sounded? It really blurs a line between entertainment and narration of a book on a serious topic. It even contains a number of mispronciations of common English words. It just can't be taken seriously like this. It takes the focus off of the material itself, casting doubt onto the veracity of the information presented.

Wow. I don’t know what’s worse- being told I was brainwashed or discovering it by my own volition. My sense of uniqueness, nobility, and all the other “blue pill side effects” I’ve been afflicted with for 58 years, gone, in one stroke. Bravo, Rollo, and thank you.
