Libido Reboot: A Widow's Sexual Journey is a true story about the sexual reawakening of a woman after several years of celibacy following the death of her husband. It is an honest account of her search for sexual gratification gained through sex toys, escort services, and online hookup and dating sites. Her experience led her to believe that others, in particular, baby boomers, could learn and be inspired by her journey.

There is still great sex after 40

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This is not an erotica but more a memoir of a lady in her 50's that would like to share her experiences for others to learn from. It could be for both men and women but not for the young as the author tells us in the beginning of the book. I am only 35 and my husband is 47, I found that I enjoyed hearing about how the author explored her sexual needs after her libido came rushing back about five years after her husband of 40+ yrs passed away. The author had only been with one man in her life and realized how "vanilla" their love life was. She had many different experiences that she shares with her readers from getting a play toy to hiring an escort to fulfill her needs.
It's a quick audiobook which was great for my drive to and from work one night. Something different to listen to as I have been really only reading thrillers/crime novels and health audiobooks and podcasts.
I give this book a 4 out of 5. The narrator also did a great job on keeping my interest without being monotoned or slow.

Historia
Sometimes in life, we can't help who we fall in love with, no matter how hard we try. No matter what type of person they make us become. Wren Porter knew that first hand. Her best friend's brother, Dane Evans, was the only guy she'd ever had eyes for. He was "the one". The one she was supposed to marry someday, to grow old with, but it was hard to love someone who would never love her back.

An emotional story of strength and love
Revisado: 06-17-16
Any additional comments?
This book was very hard to listen to at the beginning because of the topic it is heart breaking. Wren is pregnant but is not with the baby's father, Dane. She has had a crush on him for years but bad boy Dane has never seen her as anything more than his sisters friend until a drunken night. Wren approaches Dane about the pregnancy and he acts like he doesn't have any responsibility to Wren or the baby. Dane ends up dying from an overdose and the story really gets interesting. This is a tale of love, loss, finding oneself and rediscovering a true love. It was beautifully written, I will say though that sometimes I was sad at how immature Wren seemed to be as she was hung up on this kid crush and felt the need to be faithful to Dane even after he passed away. The narrator Aundrea does a great job with this novel switching between the characters with changes in her voice for the males and females. I didn't feel like she was reading the story but getting into each character and their feelings.
I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

Historia
Jonah Tomlinson spent the last year mending a broken heart. He wanted marriage and children, but didn't want the worries of love and another broken heart. But no woman would ever agree to that, so he sent off for a mail-order bride with the condition that they marry for mere companionship - and not love. Annie Reed spent the past year mourning the loss of her fiancé to a horse accident. She vowed never to fall in love again. When she answered Jonah's letter, the two agreed to marry without the entanglement of love. They both decided to stick to the plan - until they met.

A sweet romance

Any additional comments?
This is book 2 in the Mail-Order Brides series but I didn't find it confusing. I am thinking it is more a stand alone series. Its a cute, clean romance set back in time of the horse and buggy. For being a very short read, the characters are well developed and you will fall in love with Annie and Jonah right away. Both characters have sworn off falling in love again and have made an agreement that they would be companions in marriage but not more, until both start to fall in love with the other. I love Annie, she is a country girl who doesn't mind to get dirty and help out. She is a sweet girl.
The narrator, Leonor Woodworth does a fantastic job with this story. She has a soft voice that is fitting for the story, especially for Annie, her cadence and volume is perfect. Leonor makes this an enjoyable audiobook. I will listen to more from Leonor in the future.
I also look forward to reading more by Julie Pollitt. I give this novella a 4 out of 5 stars. I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

High school chemistry teacher Shelly Lewis is looking for love, passion, and companionship. Given the extra padding on her petite frame, she figures settling for companionship and deep caring would be enough. That is until she meets Jase, who sets her on fire and keeps the fire within her burning brightly. But she thinks she's better suited for someone more reserved and less handsome...someone like her widowed neighbor Drew.

I listen to this book on audible, which is narrated by Aundrea Mitchell. I have listened to a couple other novellas narrated by her and really enjoy them. She makes the books easy to listen to and enjoyable. Sometimes I did chuckle at the "male" voice but I think that one can be hard for a lot of females.
This story is a quick one that doesn't go to in depth but we learn a bit about our main character and her dating troubles. She has two men wanting her and she has to decide. It turns out to be easy to choose due to a couple reasons. Jase the sexy club owner or Drew the widow next door, I would have to choose Jase. This is a lesson learned novella. I really wish there would be a book two or this had been a novel as I think there would have been enough story to make it longer.
I give this a book a 3.5 stars out of 5.

Have you listened to any of Aundra Mitchell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I really enjoy Aundrea's performance. I will listen to her more often
Any additional comments?
Book two picks up where the first novella left off! Right in the middle of the sexy heat, OMG will Kim go through with it or not?? I again listened to the audiobook version and loved it for the most part. The only part of this novella I didn't like was when the author used the word cu*t to explain Kim's sex. I am okay with pretty much any term except that, as I find it to be a derogatory term, turning a sexy erotica to something nasty. Other than that this novella is sexy/hot. Dominick, le sigh. I really started to fall for Dominick more in book two. I also feel Kim starts to realize things are a lot different from how she remembers Dominick when she was twelve. She is a naive college student but then again I think a lot of us are when in our late teens, early twenties. Kim hasn't had many boy encounters before hand. In this novella we learn more about Dominick and his feelings. We also hear more about the novels he has written. It is a very quick paced story.
The narrator, Aundrea Mitchell does another fantastic job in book two. I really enjoy listening to Aundrea narrator stories. I find some narrators had to concentrate with and Aundrea is the opposite. I can easily put on the audiobook and commute to work or take a walk with the dogs.
I give this book a 3.5 stars out of 5. I look forward to reading more from Sky and listening to more audiobooks narrated by Aundrea. I received a copy of the audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

Kim Naramore has always been in love with her sister's best friend, Dominick Parker. The problem is that with a 12-year age difference between them, he never saw her that way. Growing up together, she always fantasized that he would be her husband someday, but as the years passed, she realized it was her sister he was after.

What about Aundrea Mitchell’s performance did you like?
I really enjoyed Aundrea's performance. see below
Any additional comments?
This is a quick and fun audiobook/novella. Kim has a childhood crush on her sisters best friend, Dominick. Dominick is in love with Kim's sister. He is a lot older than Kim and helps Kim's sister take care of the two of them after their parents die. Kim is love struck and holds onto that love for Dominick for years after he moves away broken hearted because of Kim's sister.
Years later Kim gets to have Dominick. This is a fun little novella that is a quick listen to or read. I found Kim really naive as she was still imagining Dominick in the same light from when she was twelve, now a college student and still a virgin she thinks Dominick wouldn't have changed over the years. The story gets heated and of course ends with a cliffhanger, ack, really? Well, since the rest of the series is out it is no big deal just carry on to book two. It could have been made into one book instead of three novellas, just my opinion as I am not big on cliffhangers when it comes to romance and erotica.
I really enjoyed Aundrea Mitchell's narration. Aundrea is easy to listen to and changes tones with the different characters. I found her narration very suiting for Kim's character. I didn't have any trouble focusing on the story or understanding the change in characters. Aundrea doesn't have a thick accent or anything that will draw away from the story. I look forward to listening to book two and more from Sky and Aundrea.

Romance, suspense, twists, murder, and a whole lot of European history mixed all together to make this book a great YA story. I am reviewing the audiobook. I really enjoyed this narrator and found that she made the story flow nicely without sounding like she was reading the book. The author keeps the story moving at a steady pace, with twists and turns off events that I wasn't expecting.
Poor Claire, she is has had a rough time through this story, meeting a great best friend in Olena, only to have Olena leave without giving her any reasons. Years later Olena is back with a ton of trouble trailing her. Pulling Claire into a whirlwind of trouble, on the run from murder and mystery men after them, they end up in Russia. Claire has a little romance thrown into this story but don't get to happy because the author throws in some twists but I did enjoy how it ended.
The characters are all in college and I found Claire to be very naive, who would just up and take off to Russia with a crazy friend who is being followed by dangerous men? The history part of this story was really interesting as I didn't know anything about this event that happen in Russia.
Overall I give this book a 3.5 stars out of 5. I found the narrator did a great job on the audiobook and I was engaged in the whole story.

A bizarre twist on a grieving husband
Revisado: 03-11-16
Any additional comments?
This is an odd, very bizarre novel, I mean it in a good way of course. At first I wasn't sure about it, I was thrown off with who was who and the fact that two of the drama dolls are men dressed up as cheerleaders made it confusing for names. Once I figured out who was who I started to get into the story. This is a story of Jeff, who recently lost his wife. Jeff is grieving but in a different way then most. He meets Lena in a counseling group, she lost her husband. Jeff has meet William who likes to dress up as a girl. Jeff starts dressing up as a cheerleader with William and then the three of them form a group they call the Drama Dolls. They do break ins together and steal small valuables, jewelry etc. Jeff is on a downward spiral after his wife's death, she is always referred to as Her until the end of the story. We are kept in the dark until the end on what happened to Her. Jeff steals, drinks, does pot, gets a corvette, and the biggest dresses as a female in cheerleader clothes. The character Emily totally threw me off until we learn more about her closer to the last half of the story. Each character is well developed and we see how each of them have been through traumatic events in their lives that have placed them all together.
If you like a psychological fiction that is a bit on the bizarre then you will enjoy this book. Give it a try you won't know until you do.
I listened to the audiobook book of this story. The narrator in my opinion is a bit monotone and I found he was hard to listen to at the beginning. I really had to give him time to grow on me. I found it felt like he was reading it out. I like narrators that sound like they are acting more than reading. I am not totally sure I would listen to another book by this narrator unless the book synopsis really grabbed me.
I give this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I love a great cozy mystery and this was one of those. It was a quick audiobook at just around three hours long. I didn't want to stop listening so I put it on every chance I had.
There are a couple mysteries that take place in this small town where everyone knows everyone. Who is making the cats sick and who hurt the older lady in the market square? Lily and Jules will figure it all out. Super cute and a lot of fun, this story makes a great Christmas mystery read/listen. A lil romance and mystery all rolled into this story.
Narrator ~ Angel Clark: The narrator sounds like she had a blast doing this book. I love how she changes her voice for all the characters and I didn't find any of them to be annoying to listen to. I found she has a great voice for story telling and can't wait to listen to more by Angel Clark.
I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars and look forward to reading/listening to more from this author.

A great MG/YA book about first loves
Revisado: 02-11-16
Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this little YA series on Audiobook. It was a fun listen to during my commute to work. It is made up of 3 short novellas that are geared to preteen/teen girls. The narrator was pretty good and easy to follow along with. There was one character in the first book that was super annoying and the narrator even gave this character that high pitched whinny voice that I can't stand. It was great even though she was hard to handle. haha. The books are clean romance YA/teen type where the main characters are starting to date/have crushes. High school life/drama, first crushes. The first book I have to say would be my favorite of them all as the story is fun with Cam really wanting to date Nick but playing girlfriend to Josh to see if Nick would want Cam. It was super cliche but very cute. I also loved the end.
Book two my next favorite as Summer falls for Nick and we find out more about Nick and what really happened between him and Gina. The books do have an ARC so you would have to read them to know the whole story line. They have characters that are brought into the next. The characters could be more developed but the author does a good job as these are novellas vs longer novels.
I do wish that the audiobook would tell you when you are starting the next book but it just gives a little break between chapters and books. I would listen to another audiobook by this narrator and I would read more from Dana Burkey.
I give this series a 3.5 out of 5 stars as it is a great younger teen series.
