Historia
The year is 1739. Eliza Lucas is sixteen years old when her father leaves her in charge of their family’s three plantations in rural South Carolina and then proceeds to bleed the estates dry in pursuit of his military ambitions. Tensions with the British, and with the Spanish in Florida, just a short way down the coast, are rising, and slaves are starting to become restless. Her mother wants nothing more than for their South Carolina endeavor to fail so they can go back to England. Soon her family is in danger of losing everything.

Great story and great narrator!

Riveting story about a young woman who made a huge difference against all odds. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but would have liked to have heard more about what happened after she married Charles.

This is a wonderful summer read that I'm sure I will be listening to again. many have compared it to the book Replay. I consider this book much better as the people reliving their life is more mature.
Highly recommend as a very enjoyable light book.

It's an OK book that wasn't boring. For a light adventure read it was fine. It just wasn't very deep in any way. Overall it was OK not great.

It used to be a great series
Revisado: 11-07-24
This went from being a great series to just OK and now it's not worth reading.
In addition to being rehashed the author has resorted to ending the book on a cliffhanger so now I don't even care.
The first 10 books or so are great.
Now I won't be reading another.

Historia
On Tommy Llewellyn’s first birthday, his doting parents awoke in a home without baby blankets and bottles in the fridge, without the photos of their newborn once scattered about, and without any idea that the one-year-old sleeping in their home was their child. That’s because Tommy Llewellyn is a boy who, in the very cosmic sense of things, will never be remembered—stuck in a universal Reset that causes everyone to forget he exists when the clock strikes midnight on his birthday each year.

Kevin wrote a very interesting paper on the early history and origins of TV Cookbooks, and Neil found it so interesting, and he thought you would find it interesting too.We talked about the early cooking programmes on the BBC before the war, and afterwards; the post-war TV cooks the theatrical Philip Harben and the steady pair of hands Marguerite Patten and how they published their own books whilst ...
