This audiobook focuses on real-world threats like serial killers, psychotic madmen, online predators and more. With a mixture of dark humor and creepy storytelling, this collection of bloody and disturbing tales is both entertaining and downright chilling. Each story, with its creepy tone and terrifying set of events, exposes a real and terrifying fact; that no one is ever safe.

What did you like about this audiobook?
In this instance, I would recommend the audio edition over the printed for three reasons. First, three of the stories are written in the first person, and the audio edition made me feel as if I was listening to a madman's confession during those stories. Secondly, I have learned over the years that if I'm really intrigued by a story, my eye will sometimes involuntarily jump ahead on the page. I couldn't do that with the audio version, and there were many moments in this book where I probably would have, because I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Finally, there is something that happens in the first and last stories that seemed to take you full circle, almost connecting the stories, that I don't feel would have been as evident in written form. I can't say what it is, because that would be a spoiler.
How has the book increased your interest in the subject matter?
I have always loved the horror genre, and don't really read much else, but I can say this book greatly increased my interest in audio books, as well as turning me on to a new author. I can't wait to download more stories from Jeremiah Cress.
Does the author present information in a way that is interesting and insightful, and if so, how does he achieve this?
I absolutely loved the presentation of these stories. I was kept enthralled with each tale, one of which in particular literally made my jaw drop at the ending's twist. My favorite story, Stalking, gave me a kind of chill I haven't felt in years, and another, Journaling, actually had me giggling throughout the entire story with its dark humor.
What did you find wrong about the narrator's performance?
I thought that Craig Jessen gave an absolutely stellar performance. His voice definitely added to the creep factor of the tales, and I would listen to him on an audio book any time.
Do you have any additional comments?
I highly recommend this book to any fan of the horror genre. I began listening to it thinking that I would listen to one story at a time, figuring it would be a decent way to pass the time, and ended up not being able to turn it off, and when it was over, I only wanted more. This was one of those rare and wonderful times when I thought I was getting cubic zirconia and discovered a diamond instead.
