Historia
Christopher Snow is different from all the other residents of Moonlight Bay, different from anyone you’ve ever met. For Christopher Snow has made his peace with a very rare genetic disorder that leaves him dangerously vulnerable to light. His life is filled with the fascinating rituals of one who must embrace the dark. Then he witnesses a series of disturbing incidents that sweep him into a violent mystery only he can solve, a mystery that will force him to rise above all fears and confront the many-layered secrets of Moonlight Bay and its strange inhabitants.

Almost good
Revisado: 08-02-24
The story line was very good, definitely Dean Koontz. I’m not sure if it was too wordy or it was the narrator. I almost didn’t finish it a couple of times. The narrator is so breathy and has no inflections . I suggest you read it not listen to it

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

The description of the characters
Revisado: 07-02-24
The performance was wonderful. The voices used for different characters was well done. I’m an avid reader and listener of audiobooks. Definitely one of Kings best.

Whinny kids
Revisado: 11-18-23
I love John Sanford have read all his books. I listen to this on audio. The narrator makes it sound like a bunch of whinny kids in elementary school. She tries to change voices but that only makes it worse. Story was ok but completely unrealistic for children to do be doing all of this.

Great Book and Great narrators
Revisado: 04-29-21
I really enjoyed this book. The narrators were great. I did get a little tired of Nina’s poor me attitude. But overall I liked it and would recommend it.

Historia
To his neighbors, Wayne Nance, a furniture mover from Missoula, Montana, appeared to be an affable, considerate, and trustworthy guy. No one knew that Nance was the "Missoula Mauler," a psychopath responsible for a series of sadistic sex slayings that rocked the idyllic town between 1974 and 1986. Nance's only requirement for murder was accessibility - a preacher's wife, a teenage runaway, a female acquaintance, a married couple. Putting on a friendly façade, he could easily gain his victims' trust. Then, one September night, thirty-year-old Nance pushed his luck.

Just let me finish
Revisado: 04-13-21
I read a lot of true crime by different authors. I thought the story was written well and could have been very exciting to read but the narrator was awful. It sounded like a robot was reading it. There was no inflection or emotion in his voice throughout the book. It made it so difficult to follow and maintain interest. I found myself rewinding a lot because there would be an intense moment but I would miss it because my mind would wonder to other things. I’m not a book critic I just love to read and listen to audible. Think I will skip any books narrated by this person in the future.
