Twenty years as an army brat, and Ember Howard knew, too. The soldiers at the door meant her dad was never coming home. What she didn't know was how she would find the strength to singlehandedly care for her crumbling family when her mom falls apart. Then Josh Walker enters her life. Hockey star, her new next door neighbor, and not to mention he has the most delicious hands that insist on saving her over and over again.

Tissues needed…
Revisado: 03-28-24
This book was so good, December’s story is heart wrenching! Tissues definitely needed. Ember is a planner, until tragedy strikes and her plans dissolve, I loved to watch her figure out where she wants her life to go.

All the feels
Revisado: 03-13-24
Loved this series simply because of all the emotions it triggers. Nora Robert’s novels have a special place in my heart since they are a major part of why I got back into reading. The dragon heart series is a really good series for those who want to dabble into the fantasy world to try it out. It’s a light read and also can serve as a great palate cleanser for those that read some of the heavy fantasy stuff.

Expectations I think were too high
Revisado: 02-26-24
It was okay. Someone compared it to Lord of the Rings so I think I just had too high expectations.

For Imogen Grey, a born and bred Jersey Girl, Vermont may as well be a different world. Love love love
Revisado: 02-02-24
Heather Wallace is talented beyond words and has a gift for writing characters that are so relatable you wonder if it’s you she wrote about. I have now read this book twice and cannot wait for book 2.
Narrator was really good as well.

Historia
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders. But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away...because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.

Wow. Totally unbelievably good
Revisado: 11-14-23
This book was amazing. Like wow. Didn’t expect the ending and am kinda sad I won’t ever have this feeling again with this book. What I would give to read this book for the first time again. Yes… it is that good. I’m not wild about the narrator but I never am so that’s a mute point. Definitely yelled at Violet as I was reading a few times and scared my dogs, but I laughed and cried and got angry. This book did it all. Read it. You won’t regret it.

Wow. I’ve never felt more understood. Heather is gifted in sharing her experiences and feelings as it relates to life and horses. I love to ride but am scared of the unknown as it pertains to being in the saddle. This book made me realize I’m not alone in this and that’s okay. It’s how you decide to overcome the timid feelings that will truly set you apart as a rider. Thank you Heather for sharing this personal perspective. I look forward to reading (and listening to) all your books, blogs, and podcasts.

Intriguing and fascinating
Revisado: 11-30-22
Such a very interesting book, I listened to it because of JJ Abrams and Doug Dorst’s book called “S” and it has been a really cool adventure. I loved the mystery and excitement of going through the book. As a stand alone book it was also very good.
