Historia
Instead of becoming a famous fashion designer as she'd dreamed, Brett Bishop ends up working for the 24-year-old daughter of an A-list designer instead. Even though her career plans didn't turn out as she expected, she still believes her expectations for her love life will be met. Brett is ready to meet Ms. Right Forever if she can get a break in the schedule her young boss dictates. Evangeline Scott, known as Scotty, also dreamed of being a famous fashion designer. Years of fighting tooth and nail for a toehold in the fashion industry have taken their toll.

A perfect mixture
Revisado: 12-02-24
There is so much humor in this book for the subject! It truly does play out like a romantic comedy so, if that's your thing, definitely give it a shot. The narrator was top notch as well - different voices for each character that were quality and how you'd imagine everyone should sound. 5/5, will listen again

A refreshing change
Revisado: 11-16-24
It was especially nice to listen to a romance with more elements than the romance itself. The only negative critique is the accents. Lori Prince is a wonderful narrator and it's still excellent to listen to, but the accents are just not accurate. It's distracting.

Starting a new life in a new city is never easy, but Kelsey Peterson is managing. She owns her own specialty shop, she's made some new friends, and she's finally feeling like she's ready to put down some roots in this small Chicago suburb. She's even struck up some regular flirtatious banter with that sexy blonde she continually runs into at Starbucks.

Historia
Winning the lottery is the best thing that’s ever happened to Serena Evans. Gone are the days of living paycheck to paycheck. On her own and fully funded, Serena’s excited to open Pet Posh Inn. She can’t imagine a more fulfilling dream than caring for and being surrounded by animals. Gabrielle Barnes can’t understand why anyone would dump millions of dollars into a pet daycare, but if she wants to prove herself worthy of a partner position at Arnest & Max Architecture, she’s going to have paste on a smile while designing the ridiculous waste of space.

A very average story, in my opinion. The feelings seem one-sided for nearly the entire book and both of the main characters feel really unlikable. I could easily never pick it up again.

Historia
For Lindsay Kent, Vineyard is her dream job. She's thrilled when her boss leaves her in charge (well, half charge) and tells her to feel free to make changes. Lindsay has tons of ideas that she's been dying to put into action, and this is her big chance to increase the success of the business and prove she's more than ready to run things solo. But getting the boss's daughter on board is harder than expected. The uptight and annoyingly attractive Piper is blocking her every move. For Piper Bradshaw, Vineyard is not her job. She already has one.

All time favorite
Revisado: 09-18-20
This is my favorite book, full stop. The writing is wonderful, as always, and Paige's narration does the characters justice. Excellent pacing for both the story and narration. The characters have intense, tangible chemistry and the way the narrator portrays them fits to a tee. Highly recommended.

Historia
Robin's New Year's resolution to change her eating habits is as unusual as she is. Unlike millions of other women, she isn't tempted by chocolate or junk food. She's a vampire, determined to fight her craving for a pint of O negative. When she goes to an AA meeting, hoping for advice on fighting her addiction, she meets Alana, a woman who battles her own demons. Despite their determination not to get involved, the attraction is undeniable.

Depressing, enraging, and addictive
Revisado: 07-20-20
Its not quite what I expected, but I'm not upset. If graphic descriptions of immense depression and an overall theme of suicide aren't your thing, you may want to go elsewhere. This story hit me hard in a few places, but it kept me intrigued and attached the whole time. The characters are structured in a way that you can develop a relationship with them rather quickly. Jessica's narration performance was above average, gave me goosebumps, and I applaud the emotion in every line.

Revisado: 07-19-20
It's rare for me to find a sequel that rivals with the original, but this one does it. The only thing wrong with it is that it ends. The pacing is good, the story is intriguing, and the characters are fabulous. Jessica, as always, delivers a fabulous vocal performance - getting into characters with ease. Definitely worth your time!

Historia
High School is the revelatory and unique coming-of-age story of Sara and Tegan Quin, identical twins from Calgary, Alberta, who grew up at the height of grunge and rave culture in the '90s, well before they became the celebrated musicians and global LGBTQ icons we know today. While grappling with their identity and sexuality, often alone, they also faced academic meltdown, their parents’ divorce, and the looming pressure of what might come after high school. This is the origin story of Tegan and Sara.

I loved every moment of this audiobook. Absolutely no one else could have read it better and the book itself elicited more laughs and tears than a book has in a very long time. 100% recommended and will read/listen again.

Historia
Susanne Wolff isn't thrilled when her mother sends her all the way across the country to Freiburg to save her uncle's stationery store from bankruptcy. Freiburg is too provincial for her taste, and besides, pen and paper are outdated anyway. Anja Lamm, Paper Love's only full-time employee, takes an instant dislike to the arrogant, digital-loving snob who's supposed to be her temporary boss. But thanks to a meddling cat, a business trip to a stationery fair, and an armada of origami boats, Anja soon starts to see beneath Susanne's aloof exterior.

Revisado: 11-20-19
Jae is becoming one of my favorite authors and this book is number one on the list of why. The plot hooked me immediately, there is so much detail, but not to the point of boredom, and the characters have such intense chemistry. It's enemies to friends to lovers in the BEST way. A must read, for sure.
