Great intro to the Ecological approach. Concise & easy to comprehend, but deep enough to demand a second listen. Would recommend.

This is great! If you’re a cerebral jiu jitsu player, JDs thoughts & musings are thought provoking and arresting. I listen to all 3 volumes every couple months & always get something new or different from each listen. If you’re not a cerebral bjj player than I dunno what to tell you🤷🏻♂️🤓

Historia
Since he burst onto the scene as George St. Pierre’s grappling coach in the late 2000’s, John Danaher has risen to be recognized as one of the foremost minds in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and competitive grappling. More than just a coach, Danaher has garnered a reputation as a philosopher of the art. His social media is read by hundreds of thousands, serving as daily inspiration for students around the world. Danaher is able to take the complex and often contradictory rules of jiu-jitsu and break them down into universal concepts.

Ive listened to this “book” more than 10x all the way thru. Its an easy listen (its just a bunch of iig posts after all) and yet has had a profound impact on my game. Plus I like Danaher’s style and insights, so if you’re not a fan of his deep dive/philosophical coaching this probably isn’t for you. But if you’re obsessed with the endless black hole that is BJJ I think this little audiobook is worth the credit.
