Listening to this is my personal tradition every November. This gets me in the holiday spirit and nudges me toward all the planning and work involved while maintaining a grateful and positive attitude. Tim Curry's masterful performance has the right balance for Charles Dicken's masterful writing. Do yourself a favor a enjoy this classic!

full of the N-Word and negative views of Native Americans and women. Before anyone wants to accuse me of anything, I know darn well the time period of this story, as well as the 1950's it was written in. Still, I am grateful for not choosing this for a long road trip with the kids. The words made me sad and uncomfortable and I would never expose my children to this, "historical" or not. The story was interesting, but I enjoyed The Revenant much more.

Way better and more logical than Marie Kondo method! I'm already disorganized, why do I need to pile everything I own and create more chaos? This gave me a clear rebuttal for all of my mental arguments about the clutter. Listening to this book over and over while discarding REALLY empowered me! Yes! I can do it! And I Did! Yes!!!

I hate to gripe because it was so cheap to order, but probably the narrator was a volunteer or the authors grandson. it actually could have been an interesting story, but the poor man rushed through it and sounded just as bored as I felt listening to it. I'm sorry, but I wasted my few dollars :(
