Historia
Meet Fred, a large mixed-breed hound living with a cop. Fred pretends he’s a police dog, making up heroic tales to impress his next-door buddy, Bitz, a small, scruffy poodle owned by the Johnsons. So how can Fred admit he’s been faking it all this time when Bitz asks for his help? A newly-acquired cat named Fritz has run off, and if he doesn’t return, Bitz could be sent to the pound, thanks to those Johnson twins and their constant sibling rivalry.

So Cute!
Revisado: 02-11-24
Fred's First Case is a well written and humorous story about a dog named Fred who sets out to help his friend Bitzy find her missing cat friend Fritz. The animals are personified as Fred tells the whole story and the journey begins as they set out to solve the case of a missing cat. Along the way you will be introduced to Fred's friends and his funny antics.
I enjoyed reading and listening to Fred's First Case. I first listened to the Audiobook which is narrated well. I felt as though a man's voice would have fit the narration better since Fred is telling the story. Nonetheless it was nicely done. The narrator did change her voice to emphasize the personality of each character which brought humor. Therefore overall it's an audiobook which is pleasing to listen to.
The story became more alive when reading it myself from the Kindle version. I especially loved all the animal characters and how they deal with life on a day to day basis. This book is great for children and can be enjoyed by the whole family. It has a delightful and amusing storyline which will keep you interested until the end. To discover how Fred solves his first case.

Great Narration!
Revisado: 12-23-22
System Exposed is very well written. It's like you're literally sitting down with the author as she's telling her story. The narrator did an excellent job in delivering this very emotional and heart wrenching story. It took me quite a while to come back and write a review. Because I just didn't know where to begin on expressing my thoughts and feelings.
The author's story touches on sensitive matters which include abuse, negligence, and mistreatment. It is not typically the type of book that I would read. Since it's a true story and available as an Audiobook, I decided to take a dive. I immediately was drawn in as I began to listen. Which is not always the case when I start an Audiobook. Sometimes the narrator ruins it and I can't continue the book. This is not the case with this one…
I was under the mindset that this kind of neglect, abuse, and emotional tragedies described in Julie's book only happened in America! Therefore I was enlightened that the System can be horrible wherever you go. I would recommend this book for anyone that wants to read a true life story about how the author, Julie Jean Evans, exposes growing up in Australia and the System Exposed.

Great Story!
Revisado: 09-12-22
The Unity of Three is a short story with a great storyline. It exemplifies how 3 young ladies keep their loyalty and friendship from a young age into adulthood. There are twists, turns, and even a few surprises within the narrative. It reminded me of the type of stories I would watch on TV as an after-school special 40 years ago...with regards to a few swear words. Which are appropriate and perfect for the occurrences in this book. The story kept me wondering what was about to happen next and how it was going to end. Therefore it makes this book a good read. As an audiobook I found the narrator didn't read the book with enough soul or emotional emphasis on subject matters. It was a bland narration. Overall it's a great story!

I absolutely loved the narration of this book which made it very easy to listen to. The way the author uses a play to describe chapters of the book was interesting. The book is intense with feelings, emotions, and there's even humor. I laughed throughout different times which are read as part of the "play dialogue". This is a very thought provoking and soul-checking book. You have to check yourself if you are one who displays some of the hurtful and negative characteristics. Advertently you can educate yourself on thought patterns of people that inadvertently hurt others. This is just a deep book! It all depends on how you interpret it and what you want to get out of this book. Nonetheless the author did an amazing job of narrating her own book with a smooth, soulful, and soothing voice. I could listen to it again. LOVE IT!! 💗

Historia
Listeners are transported to the historical town of Shrewsbury. The Lion Hotel provides the setting for a story in which a detective’s daughter is wrongly accused of a crime. One might have expected her father, Inspector Horace no less, to have easily been able to prove her innocence, but things never quite work out that way when you are a teenager. Fortunately, Florence is quite capable of remaining one step ahead of her father and the hotel staff.

Revisado: 02-23-22
I absolutely LOVED the audiobook. The narrator is amazing and the way he reads detective Horace's part makes the story all the more witty. Florence surely is a character! Listening to the audiobook kind of reminded me of being in a comedy dinner theater I went to in Lancaster. I took the storyline seriously because there's a theft that has gone down! Although the wit and humor of detective Horace actually caused me to listen to the audiobook twice!

I really liked the story and characters in The Fair Queen. I don't have a mouth full of specific details for this book because overall it's just a GREAT STORY. I enjoyed it. I loved the narrator's accent but unfortunately I did not like her narration skills.

I couldn't even listen to this audiobook because the narrator was that bad. I will not leave any stars on this review because I like the author and her work. Although if I were her...I would greatly consider retaking interviews to have the book read with emotion and vigor. I purchased the book and will read it myself then leave an appropriate review on that edition.

Lorelei Fischer desperately needed somewhere to spend the night, and, as if by magic, Moonlit Shores Manor appeared. But there’s a cost for everything, magic included. More than willing to escape her old life and fill the open position at the bizarre bed and breakfast, Lorelei quickly learns of the dangers waiting for her. She’s only human, after all, and casting spells, shifting into wild animals, and caring for mythical creatures aren’t exactly in the wheelhouse of a former barista and art school failure.

Loved the story
Revisado: 09-10-21
Magic, mythical creatures, and witches surely it was a charmed inspired story. I loved all the characters and especially Ziah. I was so disappointed with the narrator and she made it a painful eleven hours of listening. It took me 10 days to get through the robotic soulless style of narration. I purchased the book and started reading it because I couldn't listen anymore. Nonetheless it's a book I loved. Although I wish one of the witches wasn't named Tuatha because it seemed a little copied from one of my favorite Charmed Episodes. The story and the writing is 5 star worthy and I look forward to Book Two & Three.
