Historia
For generations the solar system--Mars, the moon, the asteroid belt--was humanity's great frontier. Until now. The alien artefact working through its program under the clouds of Venus has emerged to build a massive structure outside the orbit of Uranus: a gate that leads into a starless dark. Jim Holden and the crew of the Rocinante are part of a vast flotilla of scientific and military ships going out to examine the artefact. But behind the scenes, a complex plot is unfolding, with the destruction of Holden at its core.

After watching season 3 on TV I couldn’t imagine how much was missed from the book, especially my favourite character Bull. What a ride! Now off to watch the next season but I’m more excited to listen to the next book in a the Expanse series.

Bringing together the imaginative strategies of fiction storytelling and new ways of narrating true, real-life events, creative nonfiction is the fastest-growing part of the creative writing world. It's a cutting-edge genre that's reshaping how we write (and read) everything from biographies and memoirs to blogs and public speaking scripts to personal essays and magazine articles.

Wow! Not what I expected but wow!

Ok, so it was on sale. Why not? Yet thoroughly enjoyed it, interesting story and outlook on the human race and what it takes to coexist with even our most primordial foes. I enjoyed how the spiders evolved and how the concept of god was what they needed to get them out there but in the end it was the spiders own intuition that brought about the final understanding for coexisting which they developed through their episodes in history which are each catalogued. A bit too heavy in the god complex perhaps but it still made it an interesting story. Great work.

Historia
No subject is bigger than reality itself, and nothing is more challenging to understand, since what counts as reality is undergoing continual revision and has been for centuries. The quest to pin down what's real and what's illusory is both philosophical and scientific, a metaphysical search for ultimate reality that goes back to the ancient Greeks. For the last 400 years, this search has been increasingly guided by scientists, who create theories and test them in order to define and redefine reality.

Very fascinating and wonderfully presented by Profesor Steven Gimbel who not only made it interesting but entertaining which made me enjoy every aspect of our understanding of reality based on our technological, psychological and sociological development. Really great and I strongly recommend it to anybody who has ever had doubts about the value of what it means to define humanity and reality. Awesome!!

Historia
For someone who didn't intend to wreck the solar system's fragile balance of power, Jim Holden did a pretty good job of it.While Earth and Mars have stopped shooting each other, the core alliance is shattered. The outer planets and the Belt are uncertain in their new - possibly temporary - autonomy. Then, on one of Jupiter's moons, a single super-soldier attacks, slaughtering soldiers of Earth and Mars indiscriminately and reigniting the war.

Revisado: 06-10-18
Really intense and funny. I watched the first two seasons of the expanse and although this includes like half the season it kind of puts things in a better order than the series as much as it feels more natural in its character development. Love the difference in the characters and how interesting human relationships are even on different planets. No real connection to the first book it was a great sequel and standalone, the ending however ... well I’ll leave that to you and hope you enjoy it.

It’s strange to think that her journey for balance took her to touch so many people. It’s a lovely odyssey of how a troubled mind can be saved by love and how it exists through pleasure, devotion and sheer faith in yourself and fellow man.

As a young man, Ed Catmull had a dream: To make the world’s first computer-animated movie. He nurtured that dream first as a Ph.D. student at the University of Utah, where many computer science pioneers got their start, and then forged an early partnership with George Lucas that led, indirectly, to his founding Pixar with Steve Jobs and John Lasseter in 1986. Nine years later and against all odds, Toy Story was released, changing animation forever.

Historia
Ulysses is regarded by many as the single most important novel of the 20th century. It tells the story of one day in Dublin, June 16th 1904, largely through the eyes of Stephen Dedalus (Joyce's alter ego from Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man) and Leopold Bloom, an advertising salesman. Both begin a normal day, and both set off on a journey around the streets of Dublin, which eventually brings them into contact with one another.

A lot of words for little taking place
Revisado: 04-11-18
Honestly, I switched off for two or three or three chapters, by god it tended to ramble on which I may believe could be truly appreciated in text as spoken it just sounded like gibberish. The performance was well presented nonetheless and the last two chapters from Molly’s perspective really was fascinating. As I’m not that well versed in the study of literature it was rather long winded and very little took place or got confusing with strange lexicon and syntax. Still, it had a charm which kept me hooked and I liked how realistic the world was described, perhaps too much information was given but that’s the idea. Having recently listened to the Odyssey I cannot see any relation yo this story other than the titles. A confusing story to follow as nothing really happens to unlikeable characters, I feel the main characters Leopold Bloom was not a nice guy at all, a bit of a pervert and Molly in the end who is portrayed as a bit of a villainous character as an adulterer becomes redeemed in the end a far more interesting and realistic character in only the last two chapters. Read it better than listen to it, it tends to ramble on and I think some of its magic may be lost from listening. Maybe.

Being a writer is not just about typing. It's also about surviving the rollercoaster of the creative journey. Self-doubt, fear of failure, the need for validation, perfectionism, writer's block, comparisonitis, overwhelm, and much more. When you're going through these things, it can feel like you're alone. But actually, they are part of the creative process, and every author goes through them too.

Loved it! Really clear how to develop your mindset to become a better writer. It’s bite size information so you can leave it playing and pick up on a new bit every time. I’ve listened to it twice while driving and I’ll listen to it again. It’s like a podcast only well structured with interesting quotes in the middle. Very enjoyable !

Historia
Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey are unquestionably two of the greatest epic masterpieces in Western literature. Though more than 2,700 years old, their stories of brave heroics, capricious gods, and towering human emotions are vividly timeless. The Iliad can justly be called the world’s greatest war epic. The terrible and long-drawn-out siege of Troy remains one of the classic campaigns. The Odyssey chronicles the many trials and adventures Odysseus must pass through on his long journey home from the Trojan wars to his beloved wife.

Very well presented
Revisado: 03-05-18
I never read the Odyssey or the Iliad, other than tv shows or movies I never knew the story quite as well and I now know it after listening to this unabridged version of them both together, back to back. It was easy to follow despite its mixing of the timelines in the Odyssey and enjoyable stories with references to other stories which I remembered reading about when I was a kid. I actually checked some of them out on YouTube and it’s interesting to understand the story correctly. Great to hear it and recommend it, it’s a mythical trip.
