Historia
Nina, a teenage runaway, wakes up in the unfamiliar stairwell of a Tel Aviv apartment in a torn minidress. As her memory starts to resurface—the abusive older man she’s running away from, the crime she witnessed—she knows one thing: she needs to find a place to hide. When one of the building’s tenants, Carmela, a lonely old widow suffering from memory loss, mistakes Nina for her granddaughter she hasn’t seen in years, Nina jumps at the opportunity for a safe haven. Soon, the two strangers become each other’s lifeline as Nina settles into the apartment with sweet, reassuring Carmela.

Being alone, means different things in different societies
Revisado: 04-01-25
Listened to this book. At first it was confusing to know which character was which, once I reconciled who was who I enjoyed the book and found myself rooting for the “alone” characters. Shows how different the Israeli society is from American society especially when it comes to family ties.

Historia
TOP GUN instructor Colt Bancroft has just catapulted off the USS Abraham Lincoln, his F-35C Joint Strike Fighter trailing blue and yellow flame as he climbs into the night sky off the California coast. When he is sent to investigate a series of mysterious lights floating dangerously close to his aircraft carrier, disaster strikes. His jet becomes unresponsive as it rolls inverted and enters a nosedive aimed right at the aircraft carrier’s unsuspecting escort cruiser… What follows is a tale of heroism and betrayal, spycraft and suspense, and aerial combat against an unexpected adversary.

The authors imaginary universe continues to expand
Revisado: 02-28-23
The author continues to exhibit great imagination. The performance continues to be good. The books could be a lot shorter but the author always adds new characters and settings where he goes into great detail to build the characters. In the end you always want to read the next book to see what happens to the main characters

Historia
In this brilliant book, Isabel Wilkerson gives us a masterful portrait of an unseen phenomenon in America as she explores, through an immersive, deeply researched narrative and stories about real people, how America today and throughout its history has been shaped by a hidden caste system, a rigid hierarchy of human rankings. Beautifully written, original, and revealing, Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents is an eye-opening story of people and history, and a reexamination of what lies under the surface of ordinary lives and of American life today.

This should be read by every person and Mandatory in our schools!
Revisado: 08-22-20
Well researched, enlightening, powerful, and unfortunately unknown to so many people. Caste should be required reading especially these days for our politicians and everyone who has any authority.
