Historia
Most people are both repelled and intrigued by the images of cold-blooded, conscienceless murderers that increasingly populate our movies, television programs, and newspaper headlines. With their flagrant criminal violation of society's rules, serial killers like Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy are among the most dramatic examples of the psychopath. Individuals with this personality disorder are fully aware of the consequences of their actions and know the difference between right and wrong....

I really enjoyed this boy. Some of it is stuff that I have already known but he does go strongly in depth on a lot of what I previously understood about psychopathy. In particular he goes further in depth about the hand movements of psychopaths of which I’ve heard mentioned many times but never heard elaborated on adequately. He does so in quite a thorough meticulous way. He performs this meticulous delving in on many other subjects throughout the book. I would highly recommend this read.

Historia
We know of psychopaths from chilling headlines and stories in the news and movies - from Ted Bundy and John Wayne Gacy to Hannibal Lecter and Dexter Morgan. As Dr. Kent Kiehl shows, psychopaths can be identified by a checklist of symptoms that includes pathological lying; lack of empathy, guilt, and remorse; grandiose sense of self-worth; manipulation; and failure to accept one’s actions. But why do psychopaths behave the way they do? Is it the result of their environment - how they were raised - or is there a genetic component to their lack of conscience?

A True Inspiration
Revisado: 07-01-20
I have listened to quite a few of these books on psychopaths. from Kevin Dutton through James Fallon. This has to be the absolute best out of all of them. Not only was this incredibly educational at a technical level for the neuroscience and the psychology, but was also very informative in terms of the technology used in all of his research. The story of this guy's life is incredible and it's highly inspirational for anybody. Even if you are not involved in Neuroscience or psychology. Written in a similar style to a Stephen King book, Kent is very descriptive when telling the stories of his research. The whe book unfolds majestically.
There are so many punk rock moments in this book, from his experience in prisons to how he conducted these groundbreaking FMRI studies. I highly recommend this to everybody.

Historia
The memoir of a neuroscientist whose research led him to a bizarre personal discovery, James Fallon had spent an entire career studying how our brains affect our behavior when his research suddenly turned personal. While studying brain scans of several family members, he discovered that one perfectly matched a pattern he’d found in the brains of serial killers. This meant one of two things: Either his family’s scans had been mixed up with those of felons or someone in his family was a psychopath.

Fantastically Insightful
Revisado: 06-27-20
This book was a perfect insight into the mind of a psychopath. Not to dumbed down, but just dumbed down enough for my layman's liking. Especially in the second chapter when he is explaining neuroscience.

Historia
Legendary magician Penn Jillette was approaching his 60th birthday. Topping 330 pounds and saddled with a systolic blood pressure reading over 200, he knew he was at a dangerous crossroads: If he wanted to see his small children grow up, he needed to change. And then came Crazy Ray. A former NASA scientist and an unconventional, passionate innovator, Ray Cronise saved Jillette's life with his wild "potato diet". Outspoken, frank, and bitingly clever, Presto is an incisive, rollicking listen.
