How we fight predicts the future of our relationships. Most of us blunder into conflict without knowing what we are really fighting about and then quickly become overwhelmed by physiological responses we can’t control and emotions we don’t anticipate. The truth is the happiest and most successful couples fight—all the time. Conflict is human, and necessary.

Historia
For half a century, we have been trained to believe that our right brain hemisphere is our emotional brain, while our left brain houses our rational thinking. Now neuroscience shows that it's not that simple: In fact, our emotional limbic tissue is evenly divided between our two hemispheres. Consequently, each hemisphere has both an emotional brain and a thinking brain. In this groundbreaking new book, Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor presents these four distinct modules of cells as four characters that make up who we are.

Interesting read
Revisado: 05-25-23
This book was presented a little differently than other "brain science" books I have read, at times making it easier. It had both science and a nice bit of humor. The reader was a tiny bit dry, but I found the writing interesting enough to overlook the slightly monotone sound in his voice. I feel I would have done far worse myself. I've ordered the paperback to read and make reference notes in.

I read, A LOT..... and most of what I read has to do with the healing journey. As a certified life coach, I started this book to help understand anxiety in others... people who suffer from extreme panic attacks. Being able to relate personally opened my eyes to the truth... we all experience anxiety (on varying levels). I find this book so beneficial, I recommend it to everyone walking the path of self-awareness. Namistay 🙏
