i gave up on christianity because just like paul, i was not able to reconcile the evil vindictive god of the old testament with jesus’s teachings. this has brought me back and made our human story make some sense. very important book! thank you!!

i make music and have come to many of these ideas naturally. but making art is a lonely endeavor and rick makes you feel like he’s tapping you on a shoulder and saying i got you, the universe got you, keep going. think this book is applicable to most people as it is to artists. in a way, it’s a guide to life. finally, rick’s narration is absolutely perfect—relaxing, reassuring, motivating. thank you!!
