Historia
Becky still adores the traditions of Christmas: Her parents host, carols play on repeat, her mother pretends she made the Christmas pudding, and the neighbors come ’round for sherry in their terrible holiday sweaters. Things are looking cheerier than ever, until Becky’s parents announce they’re moving to ultra-trendy Shoreditch - unable to resist the draw of craft beer and smashed avocados - and ask Becky if she’ll host this year. What could possibly go wrong?

Laugh-Out-Loud Fun!
Revisado: 12-02-22
I adored this story! I adored Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood)!! She is a modern-day Lucile Ball and I want to spend every day with her. I enjoyed hearing her non-stop inner dialogue and the escapades she got herself into. The cast of characters compliment her well including her ever stable and reliable husband, Luke.
In this story, Becky, aka Becks, spends her days preoccupied with preparing to host Christmas, a costume for her daughter, Minnie's, school play, landing specialty items for her vegan/green sister, and the perfect gift she spies in a window for Luke. This is only a few of the obstacles she encounters as hilarity ensues throughout the book.
The bits about her old boyfriend and his new girlfriend are brilliant. See, I started speaking "British" after listening to this story. Speaking of which, the narration is spot on!!
If you're searching for a light-hearted, yet sweet Christmas story, this is your book.

Laugh Out Loud Funny
Revisado: 07-23-21
I listened to this audiobook on a long drive and laughed out loud so many times that I'm sure the drivers around me thought I was crazy. I couldn't wait for Elizabeth Wheaton and the Duke to finally realize one another's identity and once they did I held my breath for them to admit their feelings. Among this wacky cast of characters, love comes to many. You'll have to listen or read the story to see who. This is a fun, lighthearted story!
