I hadn't heard Alexandra Shawnee before but I really like her! I love her voice and she had such a great mixture fun (the characters rocked) but made this story super absorbing. The story was very unique.

Entertaining romantic adventure for an Outlander fan, but you don’t have to be. Heroine is charmingly flawed, full of insecurities but full of spirit. Some surprise twists. As cute as this is in a way, this could happen to anyone, and that makes it all the more charming.
The narrator really hit the mark on being sassy and vulnerable at the same time, and got the quirky feel of the writing. Having been to Scotland, I can say that the accents have just the right mix of authenticity and being able to understand them. Great mix of voices and characters.

As far as romance books go, I liked that this one. It has a lot of humor, and strong women friends, exciting and intriguing locations. Sometimes it was slow and I didn't know where it was going, but for the most part I just wanted to know. I'm looking forward to the next one. I liked Romy Nordlinger a lot, I've heard her before and she always goes there.

What did you like best about Consequences? What did you like least?
I liked it more and more as it went on. It's weird I agree with some of the other reviews, but I totally get why Claire feels so trapped and there's a lot going on.
I don't like all the characters and I don't always agree with her choices but I'm totally addicted to this first book so I'll definitely be moving on to the next one.
What does Romy Nordlinger bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I liked the narrator's voice, but most of all I felt like I was listening to what these people were thinking. She did a good job.
