The year is 1961. The Cold War is in full swing and the space race is on. Russia aims to send humanity to space. But what if space comes to humanity instead? Yuri Gagarin’s epic flight into space is disrupted when an alien Mothership jumps into orbit, causing a cosmic car crash that defies all odds. Everything changes. The US and USSR must quickly put aside their differences. In exchange for the Earth’s help in the rebuilding of their Mothership, the mysterious aliens, the Vulbathi, offer promises of technology beyond humanity's wildest dreams.

Selfish A$$hole
Revisado: 12-23-21
Connor was so relentlessly selfish and self absorbed I had to stop listening. If he was excised was from the story I would have given it 4-5 stars.

Historia
It's not every afternoon that an enigmatic, comely blonde named Stilton (like the cheese) walks into the scruffy gin joint where Sammy "Two Toes" Tiffin tends bar. It's love at first sight, but before Sammy can make his move, an air force general named Remy arrives with some urgent business. 'Cause when you need something done, Sammy is the guy to go to; he's got the connections on the street.

Laugh out Load
Revisado: 09-16-21
Mr. Moore is one of the few authors who I laugh at loud at while reading. I’ll be quietly reading and snort or bark out a laugh and my wife will give the hairy eyeball.
I wasn’t sure about the book given the title and resisted listening to it for quite some time, but I am so glad I did. Also, to give credit where credit is due, the narrators on all the books I have listened to have been awesome.
Very good book - I recommend it and his other titles.

Not an Enjoyable Story
Revisado: 05-23-16
Would you try another book from Kate Allenton and/or Tess Irondale?
Tess yes, Kate, I don't think so.
What was most disappointing about Kate Allenton’s story?
The behavior of the characters was unlikely - even annoying
Which character – as performed by Tess Irondale – was your favorite?
All the characters were good as performed by Tess. Unfortunately, good narration cannot improve the writing.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Veiled Set: Sophie Masterson/Dixon Security Series?
too hard to choose which part to cut since so many of them should have been edited ruthlessly

Historia
Nadia Wolf had one wish, and it wasn't for the latest designer purse, fashion-forward clothing, or even a handsome man to marry... although, that would be acceptable too. Her wish was to win the World Series of Poker tournament and collect the one million dollar prize, beating the arrogant men who make her professional poker career a daily challenge.

Great Story, horrible narrator
Revisado: 08-20-15
Would you consider the audio edition of The Big Blind to be better than the print version?
No, because I can do my own voices in my head when I am reading it. With the audiobook I have to listen to Ms. Darling's version and they just aren't very good - everyone sounds the same and for quick back and forth conversations, it is difficult to figure out who is saying what.
Would you be willing to try another one of Wendy Darling’s performances?
Yes, but only because I like the Nadia Wolf series not because of Ms. Darling's contribution
