Each episode is the perfect length, not too short or long. Yet they’re very informative and easy to remember. Thanks so much.

Historia
When a well-known British TV historian, Marmaduke Godolphin, is found murdered in the canals of Venice during carnival, stabbed by a stiletto blade, the Venetian police are eager to have the case solved and cleared up within a day—murder is bad for tourism! The police recruit the help of retired archivist, Arnold Clover. Godolphin had hired his services on arriving in Venice to help sort through some historical papers of note. These dusty documents may contain previously unknown information about the assassination of the murderer, Lorenzino de' Medici, 500 years previously.

Superb narration; slow-burn story that’s satisfying near the end
Revisado: 01-17-24
Richard Armitage’s narration is superb as always - he’s the reason I tried this audiobook. The story started off a bit slow, but grows satisfyingly over time.

Excellent narrator. Great things I love; Swiss mountains and a dark sense of humour
Revisado: 12-07-23
A pleasant little gem of a hit man book. This is one of many books I love because of characters and locations even more than the story line, which itself is entertaining. The narrator is excellent - I’m now a fan.

Travis Beacham, writer of hits like Pacific Rim and Carnival Row, wanted to create an audio drama from the listener’s perspective. Here, he discusses his immersive, post-apocalyptic (and vampiric!) Audible Original, Impact Winter, with Audible Editor Melissa.

Great conversation with the creator to delve deeper
Revisado: 08-05-23
I love both books of Impact Winter - they’re very different from the usual full-cast story telling. It’s clear that a lot of thought has been put into acting and making the soundscape. This is both refreshing and nostalgic, combining the feelings of being in a cinema, a theater, and reading a book, all at the same time. So it’s very enjoyable to hear the thinking behind and how the whole thing was produced. Look forward to many more great things to come from Trevor Beacham. The interviewer asked great questions too. Thanks a lot!

Historia
From executive producers of The Walking Dead and Travis Beacham, the writer of Pacific Rim, comes a heart-stopping Audible Original featuring a brilliant British cast. It’s the near future and seven years since a comet hit the earth and blotted out the sun. The world is a dark, frozen landscape. And then, beastly creatures emerge and take over. A story of apocalypse, horror, and adventure, Impact Winter is a wholly original new saga created just for Audible with immersive 3D audio that dares you to pop in your earbuds and listen in the dark.

A brilliant cast. Never thought I could enjoy a dramatization this much.
Revisado: 07-22-23
This was the first dramatization that I really love. It brought me back to the old times when we we little and these things were on radio. The cast was brilliant. Everyone of them. Every character has somethings I love and somethings I find annoying - just like any good story. The approach of sound effects for action and diary for narration (to speed certain parts along) works well. Looking forward to more great things from the same team.
