Worst financial book I have ever read

And I've read a lot. Basically this guy whose girlfriend left because he refused to get an actual job, his mother pestered him for living at home mooching off of her, gets lucky in the dot com boom and sells, making millions. Suddenly he is a "genius" and all the other tried and true financial advise out there is nonsense, only his way of being a bum and demanding wealth for nothing is the right way. Terrible advise, and if followed would lead to financial ruin. No wonder it has one of the longest entertainment only disclaimers I have ever heard before a book. And the cheesy performance sounds like a youth pastor trying to be hip with outdated music and a old people suck attitude. Don't waste your time on this.

Talented Narrator!

I am not usually a fan of classics. I find them dull, the language archaic, and the story stretched out that can be told in ten pages. But this narrator did such an amazing job. The voices were distinct and not at all cheesy. The pace was flawless and kept me interested. I highly recommend this adaptation!

Such a talented narration

The story is fantastic. A staple of science fiction. But what I absolutely loved was the narration. The characters and words transport you to the land of the Witcher. The range of voices the narrators uses gets you immersed. The only reason I can't give a perfect score, and not the narrator's fault, but the female voices were pretty terrible. Ciri worked ok, but the rest of the females were pretty jarring. Again, it's not the narrator. It can't be helped except with having more than one narrator. But otherwise, a great listen!

Made it through the whole thing, had to force myself. There is no growth, you can't root for the author. She learns nothing from her struggles, talks about life in the Hamptons as just a regular everyday experience anyone can relate to, and overall is just cringe with her narration. There are some amazing bios out there. Jewel, Will Smith, and Holly Madison are great examples of authors that engage you, are relatable, and have beautiful stories to tell. Don't waste your credits on this one. It's 8 hours you won't get back.

Not a motivational book

Based on the title you would think it was a motivational book for your self improvement, but it's just an autobiography. Compared to his speeches you can tell the author was just going through the motions reading this audio book, not much enthusiasm to it. He's phenomenal at his job, but if you want to see his skills at full display you may want to check out his other work. He just didn't seem into putting in the enthusiasm into this boom, which again is an autobiography, not a self help.

Not worth the read

I've read it three times, first time hearing it on audio. Each time I think, maybe it isn't as corny and bad as I remember, but it always is. The habits are fine, nothing world changing. But the writing is just terrible. Corny stories, outdated views, gets really preachy. And a lot of anecdotal bad advise. Really dry material, I am not giving it another go.

Grasping straws tabloid journalism

I made sure to listen to all the episodes and it just didn't get any better. There was very little scandal, very little wrongdoings, But they tried so hard to try and find villains in the shadows. The line in the last episode where they source a YouTube video of a model crying about how hard the industry is the peak bs. They specifically say "I don't think they were talking about Victoria's Secret, but..." So yeah, the model wasn't talking about VS, but they just try and tie it to the situation. That's what all the episodes were like. Very weak tea water.

I love she narrates her book, so engaging and entertaining! An encouraging book that I can relate to and motivates me creatively!
