She makes you attentive so you realize that everyone has a story. Although this book is fictional, it is raw and uncut with actual events that happen in cultures, churches, and families. Family secrets, lies, betrayal, church hurt, and things hidden in plain sight.

This book hit home for me. So many different incidents mentioned I went through myself. Although the character was made up these types of things do happen and still does. By the time I finished the book I wanted to hug that character so tight. Thank you for this read

As I began to read this book I was able to put myself into. For me raised in the south in those very towns mentioned it’s very relatable and brought back memories. I enjoyed the read very much.
