Narration performances are spot-on
Revisado: 07-29-19
Fantastic! — narration performances are spot-on. I've listened to this grand little nugget time and time again. Characters you think you've known from previous delightful (if not laborious) readings of this weighty text are here beautifully animated by Donal Donnelly & Miriam Healy-Louie. If you've read it before, you'll find new life in this performance — if not, congratulations, you've just stumbled upon the easiest way in which to digest this spectacular bit of fiction. Bravo!

Historia
With extraordinary access to the West Wing, Michael Wolff reveals what happened behind-the-scenes in the first nine months of the most controversial presidency of our time in Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House. Since Donald Trump was sworn in as the 45th President of the United States, the country—and the world—has witnessed a stormy, outrageous, and absolutely mesmerizing presidential term that reflects the volatility and fierceness of the man elected Commander-in-Chief.

I would love to believe everything in this book...
Revisado: 02-03-18
Would love to believe everything in this book but the questions about its accuracy take it down a notch. If all true, which it probably is, should be infuriating to folks of any stripe. I'd wished the author of this book where a bit more of a serious character however in any event this is probably a realistic snapshot of what went on at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in the early days of DJT.

Great Big-man lore
Revisado: 12-11-16
Great Big Man legends and lore. As a CC fan, I liked this quite a lot. I might otherwise find some of the "dreamier" moments slightly less entertaining. In all a fascinating glimpse into the life of the Big Man — everyone's main man, CC. The cat with all the cool.

Historia
In this stirring audiobook, David McCullough tells the intensely human story of those who marched with General George Washington in the year of the Declaration of Independence, when the whole American cause was riding on their success, without which all hope for independence would have been dashed and the noble ideals of the Declaration would have amounted to little more than words on paper.

The many spoils of David McCullough

In typical David McCullough fashion this book and reading are superb. If you fancy McCullough's 'John Adams' you will surly find this offering, '1776' top-notch.

Historia
John Keats' letters paint an unforgettably vivid and moving picture of the richly productive but also tragic final years of the poet's life. As he ponders on the nature of the writer's craft, he must first confront his brother's death from tuberculosis and then the imminent prospect of his own, tormented by the fear that he will not live to consummate his relationship with Fanny Brawne.

John Keats — THE man of letters — Superbly read
Revisado: 01-07-16
A great collection and reading of poems and correspondence by John Keats — THE quintessential man of letters. The narration is spot-on and serves the text well, however unnecessary that might be (Keats' prose equally pleasing if it were to fall from Fran Drescher's cacophonous yap I'm sure of it). The book short, but superbly sweet; mirroring the life of the man. Worth mention (perhaps): Keats' euphonistic prose accompagné de superb performances and mellifluous delivery of the narrators render the work a wonderful sleep accompaniment.
"Ballustrades of beautiful green Hedges along their steps down to the sands. – But the sea, Jack, the sea – the little waterfall – then the white cliff – then St. Catherine’s Hill – “the sheep in the meadows, the cows in the corn.” — Simply delicious.
