Such a blessing, to be free

I devoured this book, shared it's title with 900 friends, discussed it with people who didn't want to hear about it, and feel it's power deep in my soul. I am so thankful for the direction of Dr. Barr to texts and historical data that I would never had known existed, that literally frees us from the confines of patriarchal Evangelical bologna. This clamor for power among men that has long squashed women of all colors, races, and belief systems being just as prolific in the Church as it is in the world has always seemed so sad to me, but when I would try to combat it as a young woman, I would lose the debate. This is fuel, this is meat, sunlight, water.
