Historia
For Jacob and Daniel, two young gay men aboard a US Navy ship in WWII, the risks are high. Not only the risks of injury and death from Japanese planes and submarines, but the risk of discovery. Only a special kind of love is worth taking that chance. But from the moment Daniel meets Jacob's eyes across a battle-scarred deck, he knows he has to try. Being together requires figuring out what it means to be gay in an era when they could be discharged, imprisoned, or worse for admitting the desires of their hearts.

So much of everything - historical moments, steamy scenes, and tears sobbed from my chest - wowza. Ignore the cover and listen to this.

Not sure they shipped the correct pair here - Allen and Rene seem like a better match and spend the entire book together. Idk. Not convinced on this one.

Wow - this was such a unique listen and I’m so glad I found it! The world building and breadth of characters was surprising given it’s a collection of letters. Intrigued to hear more from this author.

Couldn’t stop smiling
Revisado: 11-20-24
What a cozy read! This one had me smiling ear to ear the whole way through and some genuinely funny lines mixed in had me laughing out loud. Only critique could also be a plus - low angst plot line - hence the smiles. Give this one a listen if you want to feel warm and fuzzy.
